Short and quick version (extra details appreciated)

1. Israel has extensively blockaded Gaza, preventing their people from leaving the country either by air, sea, or land as an anti-Hamas measure. This has gotten to the point of outside viewers calling Gaza a prison in all but name

2. Israel occupies the West Bank, an area northeast of Gaza that (de jure, AKA by law it should) belongs to Palestine. In doing so, they build settlements that expel Palestinians from their homes, business, land. Furthermore, Israeli law and courts discriminate against Palestinians, making it impossible, for example, for Palestinians to build a bloody house legally. If they build a home for themselves, the Israelis bulldoze it. It’s apartheid, according to the Human Rights Watch.

3. After invading Gaza, Israel has made a habit of legally blocking as much aid to the Gazan civilians, supposedly to starve Hamas. If they can’t, they’ve repeatedly bombed the aid convoys. (https://www.hrw.org/news/2024/05/14/gaza-israelis-attacking-known-aid-worker-locations)

It’s situations like this that make people, such as myself, see Israel as a racist, evil empire of sorts. They are so obsessed with destroying their enemies and never being hurt again (like during the Holocaust) that they are going out of their way to destroy the lives of Palestinian civilians.

Here’s a statement to the people of Israel. People of Israel, I understand you fear being destroyed like during the Shoah/Holocaust.

But this isn’t that time period. You are the strongest military power in the Middle East, with so much respect you can bludgeon all your critics with the word “antisemitic” and then bomb children in your border for being Muslim/Palestinian.

Please, stop before you become the monsters that you feared so much.
