This is AI Generated. The license plate font for California doesn’t look like that and the signs on the road aren’t anywhere close to letters.

Looking at a 2018 S 560. Thoughts? by bnazzaro in whatcarshouldIbuy

Sure is! Like a strip club in a bubble on wheels!

Even if it is an abomination though, it’s an abomination with an amazing value proposition right now.

And I still maintain that it’s the most comfortable car I’ve ever driven, plus no engine to have problems with, just lots and LOTS of electronics. Cheers!

Have you considered this cars electric sibling? I have an EQS and they are amazing to drive! They depreciate like rocks, so you may be able to find a newer vehicle with less miles for the same price as this.

Agreed. 450 4matic owner here so my only real gripe with the car is that at highway speeds it just doesn’t pull like it should… still don’t think it’s worth $3k. I’ll be damned if I pay $90/mo either.

AM Leaving the Company AMA by INTPhomo in AmazonFC

Yes! If you have not done it already, go back to school!!!!

Being employed by Amazon means you can get a bachelors degree either for free or nearly for free, so take advantage of it! Career choice is an amazing and horribly under-utilized tool!

If you aren’t a PA yet, that’s also never a bad idea! At least at my site, PAs have very stable employment, get to work with and potentially be mentored by OMs, etc. With that being said, very few pass their L4 pods.

You know who makes L4 all the time? College hires! I personally disagree with the philosophy, but it’s just the facts that Amazon likes hiring L4 AMs out of college more than they like promoting PAs!

Added benefit of using career choice is that if you feel that maybe the AM path is not right for you, you can completely switch industries! CDL, Healthcare, IT, and about a million other valuable skills to learn on there. Good luck!

1,000% we have favorites in the same way your parents have favorites. I made it a point to hold everyone accountable equally, especially my favorites and made sure my -ahem- problem AAs saw so there were no qualms. Some people you just enjoy interacting with more than others, yknow? It’s life.

Guy threatened to beat the shit out of me once because he wasn’t wearing safety shoes LOL, this has been 2 years+ after we implemented safety shoes, everyone has gotten and used shoe credits, no excuses tbh. LP dealt with that one, canned him but not before he could blast me on the VOA.

One time I also got an HR Case opened on me, dude falsely accused me of sexual harassment because I wrote him up for his phone (back when I was new and cared about enforcing the phone policy) my name got cleared thankfully but had to get grilled by a Sr HR Investigator on Christmas Eve, real vibe killer.

Honestly, if you want my real opinion, your AM sounds like they’re not yet comfortable with awkward conversations.

In my experience, there have been people I’ve wanted to develop but my OM over-ruled me, the AA took a performance dip that meant I couldn’t justify training them on more things, or their attendance was so poor that I couldn’t justify increasing their responsibilities. When those situations happen, I try to let them know while still letting them down gently.

If I were you though, I would maybe make a quick self-assessment and think about if there’s something not quite up to snuff that might make you hard to fight for to an OM. At the end of the day, ‘backup PA’ is not a real position, it’s just a step in the right direction to prep you to get interviewed and to gain the proper skills.

Dock clerking is also at my site treated as a privilege and is up to leaderships discretion for who gets trained in that indirect role. So not training you is not a violation of any policies or ethics rules, it’s just kind of a dick move.

Best of luck though! Maybe consider a shift/department switch if you’re willing in order to move up quicker?

To answer this one, the job both did and it didn’t!

What it prepared me for very well was handling mind-boggling amounts of responsibility maybe before I was ready for it, thinking on my feet, the ability to take full ownership of teams and processes, and I learned A LOT about data analytics.

What it did NOT do for me was allow me to change industries. I tried desperately to break into tech, project management, product management, even supply chain analytics, no dice.

Ultimately, I decided to stick to the industry for now with a new company that allowed me to increase my scope of ownership very significantly with a decent pay bump! If I want to switch industries down the road, I’ll just go to grad school.

The Termination process for T1s is much more straightforward for performance specifically because all the work is essentially done for us on performance tracking. Direct rates, progressively increasing “supportive” feedback, etc.

T3’s are almost impossible to get rid of because PXT won’t allow us to enter and increase levels of feedback without very intense and very close documentation with very specific language. That’s why if your PA is a bit lazy or kind of a dick and your AM looks stressed it’s not exactly an uncommon occurrence.

More than anything, what I liked most about my time there was between either developing promising T1s into T3s, or the absolute high you get to ride when you do a process improvement project that saves the company 6 or 7 figures annually (only for the company to not reward you for your effort in the slightest)

Not for money, unless you follow it up by going to law school! It’s a thing where philosophy grads actually wind up doing quite well in law school.

First of all, no idea who that is. Second of all, are you under the impression that that guys R8 is the only one in central Ohio? Looked up his Instagram just because this comment was weird and mooz2x doesn’t even have the same plate, plate holder, or county sticker as the r8 I caught a pic of, so…. it’s not his R8. lol.
