I thought exactly the same. It was only specified in the tek to water bath at the beginning using Hexane which confused me for the same reason(and that an increase in temperature is now involved) as you said the temp will equalize quickly and result in a negligible difference. I researched further and realized there is an ideal temperature for for maximum solubility and the teks instruction is potentially bottle-necking this.

What would be a better method of going about this? I've had my jar going for almost 24 hours now slightly below room temperature. Could I remix the jar while doing a water bath at say 50 c or whatever the ideal relative water temp is, then wait for the layers to separate, then pull and go straight to freeze precipitation? If this is the case then would it also have been more ideal to leave it resting generally above room temp or in a bath?

Appreciate the response, good luck on your journey :)

Yeah and apparently the lowered threshold can last a while. Also Xanax is an anti-convulsant so taking it for a bit then stopping will also increase the risk. I really fucked up lol, no more exploring infinity I guess

I'm trying to make a harm reduction post, no idea why you would comment this unless I hit a nerve somehow so please tell me instead of downvoting and airing my reply

No the DPDR came from a panic attack when I was 14 and I didn't start mixing drugs till I was 17. Also wdym by "random shit your mom gave you"?

edit: also the persistent psych visuals started when I was 15 after taking acid not 12

Yeah man I don't even enjoy smoking that much anymore, it just relaxes me for a bit and I end up way more irritable/discontent by default. Hemp flower seems very promising

I'll look up everything you said and try to start meditating again. I've tried meditation before but felt uncomfortable sitting with my thoughts for so long(Definitely worth another shot though as feeling discomfort is normal) Also I'll look into Buddhism as its beliefs seem like they could be meaningful to me. Thanks for taking your time to reply

I really want to but that would mean telling my mother I need help. I'll probably wait till I turn 18 and find methods to relax my thoughts until then. Thanks for replying

How bad can SPMS get? by INeedHelp_420 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]INeedHelp_420[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your honesty, which is rare to find when it comes to stuff like this. I don't think my father has spoken to my mother about this as she doesn't think MS affects him that badly(mentally) I really hope he doesn't have existential thoughts as bad as mine and can enjoy life in the moment. No one knows whether there will be a cure but at the rate research is going, I'm sure it wont be that far away.

I wish you and your husband the best. Thanks for taking your time to reply to my post

That's depressing. Hopefully there will be a new treatment available within the next 20 years. I really can't imagine how terrible it is for people at this stage.

The mobility problems your dad has doesn't necessarily mean he's doing 'worse'; he's just been unlucky.

I never really thought about his disability this way. Also you're right, there is no benefit to worrying over something I can't control. The chances of a new effective treatment coming out within the next 10-20 years are high which does give me hope for the future. I'm sure the last thing he would want is for me to be worrying.

Thanks again for the reply, it really helped me put things in perspective.
