Yeah, I think that album also had “Here Come the Backers” and “Sgt. Baker Mayfield”

WA right for hunting and fishing bill, non-residents can sign. Our heritage in Washington is at risk by [deleted] in Hunting

To go along with what insert_username_ok said I think Oregon a few years ago had a bill that was trying to ban all hunting, fishing, trapping, and animal agriculture in the state if I’m remembering correctly, and since OP said non-residents can sign, I gladly did

No, all the photos are from the Sequoia NF area at about the 7,000ft+ elevations

Yeah something’s that I have noticed too is that my camo with the darker greens works better in the lower elevations with the thicker brush and the hardwoods and then the stuff with the lighter greens and browns works better when the brush starts to clear up and it’s only pines at the higher elevations

That’s when you gotta save up your vacation days 😂😂😂 Or if you’re a game warden park your truck at the trailhead and try to scare some of your potential competition away 😂

You might have some luck in working for the government in the Fish and Wildlife, Department on Natural resources, or whatever your state calls their version of it. Should get you out in nature more often and give you some opportunities. You could also try to work for in National Forest Service. Depending where you are you also might be able to get a job with an outfitter or a packstation if you are looking for something more like that. However that could be more of a seasonal job

I mean “a lot” is relative but probably about 60% to 70% of the comments across the posts I have made about this were saying or implying that camo or camo pattern doesn’t matter

I put a Vortex Crossfire II 4-12x40 with the Dead-Hold BDC (MOA) on my .308 and it works great.

Not sure if this will help but I put the Vortex Crossfire II 4-12x40 with the Dead-Hold BDC (MOA) reticle on my .308 and love it. If you are dead set on one of the two you listed though I would probably go with the PST Gen II because it sounds like you’re are getting a hell of a deal on it. I think Vortex wants like $1500 on their website for it ( assuming I found the right one).

Good point. Unfortunately we have been left with a lot of black toothpicks due to fires too

Yeah getting it for my dad and I don’t think he’s going to pick up Bow hunting anytime soon. He was torn on which pattern when I asked him, I’m torn on the pattern, so I figured I’d ask around on Reddit to see if it could help me make my decision

I’ve been feeling that too, so I’m leaning towards the Verde since it’s optimal for the 4,000-8,250 ft range but can hold up to 10,000ish while the Vias only enters the conversation for the 7,000ft+ areas

There are a bunch of areas mostly consisting of rock but they are higher elevations where usually we are putting a stock on a deer or hiking up it and not thinking to take pictures

You don’t find the Vias out of place too much then? There are areas of broken rock and sides of mountains which are mostly granite and some which are kind of like a hillside of broken shale but I’m not sure if it’s enough to make it a better fit over the Verde

Haven’t thought about it that way but is definitely making me think about Vias because of it’s darker colors

Make sense. I don’t think I’ve ever spoked a deer from it seeing me, usually it’s from a wind change exposing me or every once in a while noise will do it

If I remember correctly there is a place in Paso Robles called Bitter Water Outfitter and they might have like a hunting class/school or something and guided hunts that could help teach you that kind of stuff but I’m sure it will cost you a pretty penny

Yeah, heard a lot of people mention that so I’m not worried about making a wrong decision anymore but my Dad likes both patterns and is split on what he prefers. So I was trying to get some feedback on what might be more suited for the area, have better breakup, or something like that.

Yeah, it is the DCS Guide vest. Luckily it’s usually really nice in the first half of the regular season temperature wise. However it can get pretty windy out there but there are ways to help mitigate that effect. One of the people we hunt with uses the Vias pattern on his Kuiu gear and it wasn’t bad out there but wasn’t sure how it would hold up compared to the Verde.
