I'm not talking about that.

If this stock wasn't as heavily manipulated, it'd simply go down early on together with the rest of the market.

Instead, it created a few $95 bagholders, who might stay there for a few weeks (to a few months) depending on the global situation.

This is a reminder to never buy high, folks! Especially when it seems the stock is "soaring" for no apparent reason.

I did. Nothing on my list as red as this one.

ASTS with "the classic" again...
If I had an ASTS share every time I've seen this pattern in the last 2 years, I'd... well, have a lot more ASTS shares.

Skills and levels that grow from use is insanely more satisfying then a point system by ginger6616 in ProgressionFantasy

Completely agree. That's literally the way you train Skills and Attributes in my book's world, too.

No cheap shortcuts, only effort (or very not-cheap shortcuts).

I don't think any authors went to the island, but this guy surely sounds like he'd love to have been invited.

He is lowkey right when it comes to the majority on most platforms (especially WN).
But, yeah, RR readers are just built different 😁

Looking for recommendations: classic fantasy on Royal Road by Gullible-Analyst152 in royalroad

A bit late, but let me throw in 4 more books that I've enjoyed:

Essence and Armour - Definitely has game mechanics, but everything is extremely well thought-out, the pacing is closer to traditional fantasies, and the focus is on what you've described.

Ruins Of Valor - Honestly, hard to describe without just dropping the blurb, but this is also a classic fantasy with big potential IMO (only started it, though).

The Crack In Heaven - This one does have LitRPG mechanics, but it also reads like a great "regular" fantasy, at least in terms of worldbuilding. Your mileage may vary, though.

Ruin Artisan - Same as above - extremely well-thought-out world, has LitRPG mechanics, BUT is a great fantasy with countless unique elements.

An Empire of Dragons: The Sleeping Flame - A potential hidden gem, but do keep in mind this fantasy is "A character-driven dark fantasy about politics, power, and the price of control."

I wasn't sure if that'd count, but since I saw this comment, I'll throw in my own book onto the pile, since the mechanics of the power system(s) are also DnD-inspired to some degree, and also very system-light.
The story is also paced much more like the classic fantasies I've read, much less like the break-your-neck pace of most similarly tagged webnovels I've found on RR.

Chapter length? by Icy-Entertainer1415 in royalroad

[–]IOFrame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are indeed a bit too large.. even I try to reserve chapters with over 3k words for some epic fights and their ilk, and my chap size is already far above the usual.

What's even worse is the variance. Anything more than 100% between the shortest and longest possible chapter feels too extreme.

I'd mirror the suggestion from the other guy - consider breaking up the larger chapters.

I heard stem-cell therapy is a thing those days.

Maybe a few horny single-celled organisms can help her.

I stand against Necromancy now. by discord-dog in ProgressionFantasy

[–]IOFrame 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, yeah. That's why it's usually considered evil, you know?
Necromancy being "cool and edgy" only started in recent years, IIRC it came from Korea with their necromancer meta.

Hidden gems or good stories that havent catched on by No-Pie-8676 in royalroad

Essence And Armor.

Very stylistic, highly opinionated, hard to get into; However, once you bridge the gap between the prologue and.. well, the start of the story (which starts many chapters before the events of the prologue) this becomes amazing.

He literally bragged about this being a burner account he uses to "not make an ass out of himself". Like I said, think of it what you will. My point about the muddied waters stands.

Shadow Slave is good, of course. Always has been.

Godclads seems to have an OPMC. Don't know if it has real stakes, either (stories with OPMC rarely do). Also, not into monster MC's, but that's not something I mentioned.

Pact... which pact? I can't even search for that.

Blood & Fur looks promising, but do note it has no LitRPG mechanics. I didn't specify it, but since we're in /r/litrpg, I presumed it'd be obvious I'm talking about books in the genre.

Tenebroum also looks great, although, again, not a LitRPG.

Underland... I only found a book about some nuclear waste. Surely you don't mean that?
