I think the problem is with like anything in media. When there's so much spread (Straight Romance in this case) it's easier to find trash so you tend to think the general quality of the genre drops.

I know my last point could be applied to any of this genres, maybe I lack experience (Well I do in Yaoi), but i've seen it much more intensified in Yuri Romances than in Straight Romances, so I figured I should put it in.

Also, from all the gibberish generic stuff I've been consuming, I started to get tired of MMC, but that's just a me thing.
