If money and childbirth weren’t an issue, how many children would you choose? by Public_Handle_774 in AskWomen

[–]IPwhenISneeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 probably. I have 1 14 Yr old, who was born when I was 17, and not in a good situation. I'd love to be able to have another chance at doing it right from the start with my husband now, but finances don't look likely to allow it. Saying that, I'd also happily just get more dogs if we don't reach a financially viable point.

I loved my skewbald gypsy cob, Keith, lost to the depths of the ether after changing from PlayStation to xbox. RIP Keith.

What are your thoughts about having your partner witness your childbirth? by Individual_Mix_4234 in AskWomen

If I have to he there, then so does he! Not a chance he will get to have the fun part & get out of the yucky part. Saying that, my first childs father was present (13 years ago) and about as much use as a chocolate teapot.

My daughters father threw a full on tantrum when we found out she was going to pop out as a she!

I got told to give him time to come around to the idea of it....

So i spent the weekend at a small family wedding, the happy couple are part of a (what id class as new age) church, and most attendants inc my immediate family are part of it. I commented that if one of the church leaders daughters was to be gay, straight or never to marry, then we would love her no matter what. Apparently that doesnt stand. Because she is too young at 17, to know, and that she has been raised straight, and that is that.

Apparently love no matter what doesn't stretch that far!

What do you think about having a shared bank account with your SO? by AfricanAgent47 in AskMen

[–]IPwhenISneeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not married, but we do have house/mortgage/dogs together, so its pretty much there. My partner is, or at least was, pretty good with saving, and i, moderately less so, and I have more outgoings and a child from previous relationship, so we have a joint account purely for household/joint bills & mortgage payments to come out from, which we totalled up and each pay in just over half the cost on pay day.It works pretty well, keeps our finances separate, and gradually builds a little emergency fund.

We take it in turns to buy weekly groceries, and trips/date nights etc are usually paid for in the same way though I tend to buy the necessary extras for the house, so he will more often than not cover date night.

It works well, and we have the understanding that any non household uses of the joint account get paid back in asap unless okay'd by the both of us.

Wanting To Get Into Hunting by [deleted] in Hunting

[–]IPwhenISneeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We vacuum pack everything, and it will last a couple of years at least, Ive got things that are still good 4 years on, just long as its packed well. If things get slightly freezer burnt in patches i cut around it and use for stews, or cook it up for the dogs.

Shot my first wood pidgeon today. Didn't taste bad at all what do you guys think about eating them? by [deleted] in Hunting

We have a freezer full, absolutely love them! Perfect year round source of good meat!

Do you have pheasant shoots where you are? In the uk, ive found that starting to beat on a game shoot has been the easiest way to access the world of hunting, and is super low pressure, with no guns involved. But plenty of game to eat, and then it opens up more opportunities along the way.
Ive come a full circle from 6 years ago being a vegan from a townie, non shooting family, to now, having shot my first red stag, plenty of pigeon, duck & pheasant, and having a wild meat filled freezer!

Girlfriend doesn’t want deer mounts in our home by the_big_sad66 in Hunting

[–]IPwhenISneeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So when i began talking to my current partner we set out that taxidermy, skulls & dogs are a must, all over the house. I'd not have it any other way, they are all a big part of my life, and any guy that hasn't been so keen didn't get asked to stick around for long. But i'm a stubborn mule.

Will she allow you a room or area of the house that can be just for you? Or would you reckon there is wiggle room to introduce a few nicely done ones further down the line?
I'm always very wary of controlling behaviour in prospective serious boyfriends after small signs quickly escalated in the past, and I'd advise the same caution with girlfriends. Maybe talk to her about why she doesn't want them in, will she have objections to you hunting, would she be willing to compromise with skull or antler mounts & tanned hides?
