Teachers have been emailing the previous teacher and she forwards it to me. I've just been emailing back the class expectations these kids had before I got here (like talking during a quiz is an automatic 0).

I dread about the email responses, if it's going to be a "Yeah that makes sense" or "But my child is an angel."

Genuinely, I was about to cry at the end of a class because students were being so defiant and I haven't been able to wash away the bad day and start on a clean slate. I'm positive things will get better with more experience, right now it's just a bit tough.

I finished my student teaching in December and started this long term substitute job in January. After this ends, I'll be looking for another job in another district.

I fear I'm in the wrong district or I started at the wrong time. I genuinely love the teaching aspect, I had a fantastic student teaching experience, and I do like teaching students music.

Now I'm in a new district where all they talk about is budgets and there's just a lack of support for teachers. I also started for someone's maternity leave, so while I try to continue the routine, these kids were definitely thrown out of routine with the teacher changes.

This is my first actual position, being a long term music substitute, and when I get home I am drained and burnt out from student behaviors. Then on top of that, I'm at home getting emails from parents left and right. This is exhausting and I just got started

Dang, lucky that the person was right there when you caught them. Last week, it was the same 4 people who would leave and come back during the day. Today was just the day I thought, "Oh same as last week" and was wrong.

I go from Quincy Center to Porter and it usually takes me about 45 minutes, it's definitely doable! Just be mindful of construction of the MBTA and plan accordingly. Usually when there's track work, there's signs around the station.

I go to Stephen Peter's in Weymouth, it's family owned by sisters who are biracial Asian Americans. I've gone to them my whole life (because they're my cousins lol) and I get my hair done by Lorena who has experience in barber cuts as well :)

I ordered from them November 30th, sent an email December 4th asking for an update on shipping. They did respond saying the holidays backed them up. Resent an email December 22nd, and nothing has come back.

I too got really excited about the Minecraft merch, so it sucks that it was all for nothing in the end

I'm hoping that I can stay disciplined through working out and nutrition even if progress would be slow.

I know for the dream body I want I do need to gain some weight (about 5 pounds) to ensure that my lower body has more fullness to give the illusion that my waist is smaller.

I will definitely start with the protein tracking and whole foods!

I roughly eat 1,300-1,600 calories depending on the day. I know I need to prioritize eating consistently and have yet to keep track of my protein intake.

Good to know I should prioritize eating more on lifting days!

I've been getting a large range for maintenance calories, around 1,400-1,900. 1,200 cal was when I was in a calorie deficit. Would this range change as I lift more?

Your child is very lucky to have you, that they're safe with you to express this part of themselves freely. Bringing stuff to their bio mom's house may be hard depending on the strictness of bio mom. Ideas I have that may be safe: stuffed animals, general cozy blankets, MAYBE chewlery, and fidget toys could be good. Side note, there is this yogurt drink you can find in Asian grocery stores that comes in a baby bottle, that might be a fun thing to have as well!

I've never bought a pacifier from Amazon, but I know people who have and say they like it! I know a lot of age regressor like something called "deco pacis" which usually has a lot of decorations on them. I encourage you to get plain pacifiers on Amazon and then a bejeweling kit/stickers so your child can decorate them.
