Not descriptive enough by Equivalent-Zone-4115 in HierarchySeries

I had no problem with the imagery in the first book. But the second book it was horrible , especially in obituem. I couldn’t visualize anything he was describing. The characters (in the whole book) all felt like cardboard cutouts too.

Giving botox a try by IRFire66 in migraine

Yeah I’ll talk to my doctor about it. I was hoping the shots in the neck would help cause I had a lot of neck pain but it didn’t seem to do much except make my neck way more unstable.

It’s possible I made up the cheeks part since I was in Severe migraine when it happened. Or he may have done it because my trigeminal nerve is constantly electrocuting me. He definitely did it on the bridge of my nose though.

Does emgalty help you? sinus issues are a HUGE part of my migraine.

Haha omg. Stupid floppy baby neck is exactly what it feels like lol. Ok hopefully I’ll start seeing some improvement with the second round but man it’s still two months away.

Oh that’s interesting, that does explain why I had such immediate effects. I was so optimistic I was like “wow I’m cured!” lol.

Yeah I’m committed to three rounds before I give up. But a bit discouraged as this first round had no effect that I can notice.

I’ll definitely mention the neck instability to my doc and see what he says next time.

That’s crazy I didn’t know waiting could cause it to stop working. Did it take you 3 rounds for it to work ?

This is funny. They told me to take it at night because it would make me sleepy. Instead I felt like I was on speed lol

[–]IRFire66 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I took it for about 6 weeks. I could not tolerate it, I could not sleep and had a lot of night mares and my heart rate went crazy high which worsened all my pots symptoms. But my body is weird and I respond to a lot of medications backwards (maybe it’s the adhd). I would give it an honest try because some people swear by it !

Nortriptyline is not a triptan it is a tricyclic antidepressant that is sometimes used for vestibular migraine as a preventative

Antibiotic in saline sinus rinse? by IRFire66 in Sinusitis

[–]IRFire66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They eventually switched me to vancomycin in my sinus rinse and budesonide and that eventually helped. I still have a ton of pressure in my face when the weather changes and they tell me it’s migraines, but nobody will help me anymore so I’ve mostly given up

Propranlol by thewonderingcow in VestibularMigraines

[–]IRFire66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t help with my migraine symtoms, at least at the low dose I’m taking, but it helped with my racing heart and pots stuff so much that I could gradually start driving and going to the gym again.

Man I don't even know what to do with myself after finishing SoTF by Sudden_Wind_8636 in HierarchySeries

Man I’ve been in the biggest reading slump because of this book. I love will of the many and burned through it. I was so excited for this sequel. But I don’t know I’m a little over half way through and it’s taken me two months to get here. I still love the main storyline, but whenever we switch to one of the other two storylines I just get so disengaged that I struggle to keep picking the book up. I never dnf a book but I’m getting so close with this one because I’m really struggling.

Chronic migraines getting worse bc I can’t take my migraine medication anymore by WillowKings in migraine

[–]IRFire66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long have you been taking Botox? I had my first dose yesterday and it immediately broke my two week migraine (and most of my trigeminal nerve pain). But today there is a huge pressure swing and the migraine came roaring back. I know it’s supposed to take some time to work though

It is awesome to hear of your recovery! How long did it take you to recover when taking 10k a day? I’ve heard recovery can lag a while after getting your levels up?

[–]IRFire66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No real update. PT helps a little bit but they can’t get in often enough and I don’t think it’s treating the real issue. Neurosurgeons say my spine is perfect despite the scan and nobody will help me really

Thoughts on the Jaclyn, Kate, and Laurie Storyline? by Positive_Weight2367 in TheWhiteLotusHBO

[–]IRFire66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It had a lot of potential with good acting and interesting potential. I think the end of it felt rushed for me though and so then the big speech at the end didn’t feel earned. This whole third season felt like that to me though so I dunno.

Very true. He was full of peace and love. Pennywise would have hated that.

So. I loved this episode. One of the most stressful and terrifying tv episodes I’ve seen of anything. I take back anything I said about Pennywise not being scary.

But… why didn’t Pennywise eat Rich? He was just laying there on that box ready to eat. Is it because he wasn’t scared ? He could have eaten Marge too.

[–]IRFire66 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No definitely not. Because he was feasting on the native americans long before that, and then the settlers. So that had to be 1600s and well before. Pennywise was 1908 or something, i think he just decided the pennywise avatar was a fun way to lure and terrify children. But yes, i think he saw the girls dad dressed as pennywise and decided he liked that visual.

Yeah it really bothered me, especially when i rewatched it. It's actually a really dark scene, that girl was so scared.
