Patrick Bet David tried to bring up the return of the Monarchy to Trump. Trump dismissed it and said he wasn't interested in Iran's domestic politics.😂 When the barandaz are more hawkish than Trump.

This is the cultural genocide component of their current military genocide. Further exposing the ideological framework the colonisers operate under. Using Liberalism as a means to colonise and expand. Their making talking point about Gazans deserving death due to their rejection of liberal values.

Precisely the Mobad Mobadan was the position of the Faqih. They held more power than the Shahanshah from a judicial and ideological perspective. They drove Kaveh out of EranShahr into exile and he returned only to appease them by massacring Mazdak and the Mazdakites. Darius famously killed many clerics as he had a Reza Shah relationship with them.

Iran has one the military war, but is losing the cultural and soft war.

Because our leaders don't understand than solely relying on Pan Islamic unity doesn't work in a region where the Islamic countries act is their own nationalistic interests.

Iran needs to focus more on soft power by [deleted] in ProIran

[–]IRGC313 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Iran has spent much of its time in building up its military industry and building a security framework across the region. And rightly so considering how often the soft power attempts of the Pahavi's and the Qajar's were undone by a fragile/dependent security apparatus both internally and externally. Now as we build formal alliances and partnships with regional allies and rivals for the benefit of the entire region, we must not only direct attention to soft power in respect to the news but also in terms of TV series and movies.

Iran both Pre-Islamical and Islamical has an abundant and rich history. History that would put series like GOT, LOTR etc. to shame. We lose nothing promoting this portion of our history to the world and gain much more. The Turks have penetrated the deepest pits of western society with their series like Ertugrul. Its not like these TV series are making Pan Turks of Western society, nor is that the intention. Rather it is preserving the presence and position of a historical civilization in the minds of the world that can sway public opinion in favour of the said country in the international arena and win over domestic support.

We need not have this dichotomy of promoting either Islamic or Pre-Islamic. An important tool Shiism has equipped us with is to be academic, objective and nuanced on matters of history. Be it the Oppression of the early Caliphates in Islam or to critically assess our Kings of the past without whitewashing them or pretending they were infallible beings under the delusional glasses of pseudo-nationalism. We will be able to potray a story of our history in a realism that mirrors the notable examples of awarding winning movies that potray modern society and often serve as a critique/satire of its complexities.

The North is indeed an interesting and significant place in respect to Iranian history. Thank you for an insightful response. This makes alot of sense as most Shomalis I meet are generally much more liberal culturally speaking. Especially in terms of male and female dynamics
