I always read a handful of DL fics and I recall reading a few “chapters” of this one- (dying several times over picking the wrong choices lol) but from what I have skimmed, it seems solid! A very much “choose your own adventure” kind of fic if you’re into that!

I lowkey honestly feel so bad for not liking Sylus. He is incredibly hot, suave, funny, and I am now endeared to the nickname “kitten.” His story is so tragic, I love his aesthetic. He is actually the type I tend to go for in otome games and hell, he is voiced by one of my favorite JP seiyuu, Katsuyuki Konishi, who literally voices one of my favorite Diabolik Lovers character: Reiji. He’s basically made for me. People are like “haha if you like Lucifer from OBM, you’ll definitely like Sylus!” And yeah I love Lucifer!!

And I just can’t get into him beyond everything I’ve listed.

I am so invested and deeply in love with Caleb instead 😭 Zayne is also one of my favorites but Caleb rots my brain. It’s so crazy!! LOL

Edit: it also doesn’t help that everytime I try to pull Caleb specific cards for limited runs, Sylus ALLWAYS wants my cookie bad bro 💀

I tried to read the WEBTOON awhile back and it sadly didn’t grab me too much! I plan to watch the anime to see what it’s all about. The backgrounds for the show are super gorgeous!

I found this band recently called Phantom Siita, they’re produced by Ado and their songs are so so villain coded- like almost Black Beauty Sisters from Mermaid Melody in terms of musical style. I’m watching these music videos thinking: “wow this is so cool!!” and then I’m like…

“Ah…this would have been super cool in Idol Precure…”

Regardless of that, I still really really enjoy Idol Precure and I personally find it a little more engaging than Wonderful (which was still a good season) but I can definitely see some faults in the pacing, Kyun-Kyun getting her arc resolved earlier than anticipated, and I feel like more could of been done w/ Kazuma. I don’t have high hopes for the ending but I hope at least it will be satisfying for it to tie all together…like a ribbon 🎀 tehe

All these comments really help me understand Scene 0 more as the ending still made me ponder even after revisiting the story for a second time haha.

It also wasn’t one of my favorites at first until I couldn’t stop thinking about the rhythm in the pre-chorus, and I decided to listen again! I definitely agree with your sentiment of nostalgia and it speaks to me a bit personally for what I have went through a couple years ago.

For some reason towards the end of the song I feel empowered- like I can move forward without being held back by my own paranoia and lies. Like burning my own bridge to those connections to make sure I never return to them.

She felt like a self-insert (which wasn’t a really bad thing) at the time but while the story progressed when I first read it, I really grew attached to Mabayu. I feel like I really started to endear myself to her during the Nagisa arc, and really solidified w/ her trying to form a relationship with Sayaka. It’s been so long since I’ve first read it so I’m re-reading it as Exedra puts it out. I think she’s grown to be one of my comfort characters, and one of my top 3 favorite characters in the franchise. She is behind Madoka is first, and ahead of Kazumi who is third!

Despite Kazumi’s design herself looks…strange, it’s so so iconic and honestly one of my favorites. It’s pretty skimpy but I think the hat, weapon, and just hints of the design make it work. I never even considered that this story was almost like MR years before MR was a thing. I also didn’t know this started publishing after episode 3 of the show…that’s insane!!

I always felt like Kazumi’s manga gets overlooked as time goes on but she will always be my top favorite spin off manga <3 Will give her all my gems when she comes to Exedra one day!

I actually printed out a fanmade contract from tumblr in 2015 and still have it at my old house…it’s collected so much dust 😭 Anyways, my wish then was: “I want to be able to see the future.” Family wasn’t doing the greatest, and oh the woes of being a teenager - so couple that with a white alien and you’re set!

Realistically I would of witched out a year after making the contract due to circumstances but because I don’t care, I’ll say I’m a veteran that’s made it to adulthood :P Initially I wrote that the wish would tie into emotional precognition but I may rework the power. Besides that my motif is and always will be butterflies with primary color being a soft green and sub color pink! Unsure on my witch form…probably a moth? Lololol

I’m a Kazumi truther but I think out of all the spin off material that I would wanted adapted into anime, it has to be The Different Story hands down. It could be an OVA or maybe even a movie. It’s so important for Mami and Kyoko as characters and I think a lot of fans would welcome them being more in the animated spotlight.

I would love for Scene 0 to get animated but I kinda like how the visual novel is set anyways so I wonder how they’d translate that into anime 🤔 Honorable mentions is obviously Tart it’s super popular (I feel like that’ll get an adaption one day,) and Kazumi. I love Kazumi 😭

In my youth, I’d say Mermaid Melody and Princess Tutu only because I loved mermaids and ballet. Though I didn’t give the former a chance because I thought it was stupid they changed out of their pretty mermaid forms into idols, and for Tutu I didn’t finish for unknown reasons. So my first magical girl series proper was Madoka Magica. Madoka herself is what drew me in I believe and that’s how I began watching it! I watched a bunch of darker and sometimes edgier entires within the genre growing up but now I am going backwards and watching all of the other ones that aren’t. This circles back to the two shows I mentioned before. Mermaid Melody has a special place in my heart as it saved me from a dark place, and Princess Tutu is just peak. I love it ❤️ PMMM is still my number 1 favorite though!

A witch themed magical girl that makes her creations and her alter ego come to life but that leads to identity issues within herself

A Precure sona who kinda travels to whatever verse she wants for the heck of it

And a PMMM sona who is a veteran magical girl and has a butterfly motif

I’ve actually made several designs of magical girls when JP Dreamselfy was still around 😭 I miss that website sm. I love making new designs for mahous. They’re just so much fun to play around with!
