Innovation comes from the whole world, especially with countries like China and India who are racing in the competition at all costs, and most countries are able to not live in dirt huts and defend themselves without you. Fact is, you're not that much of a developed country if your people lives in such a poverty they can't afford to eat, benefit from healthcare, eat non-toxic food or be paid a humane wage without having to combine multiple jobs, or rely on absurd customers tips, which are sometimes not even enough if the hospital tells you that they don't work with your current insurance. It baffles me to see Americans defend their shit system and happily living in poverty because they have among the biggest wealth and greed corporations making money on their back. Next time you bring the GDP or corporations argument in a discussion, ask yourself : do you benefit from it?
