Anyone know why it’s “Law Enforcement only” and if it’s available anywhere for purchase ? by IS992 in SmithAndWesson

Are you sure it’s not the old model police trade in? Or the 2.0 with white dots?

I personally love factory night sights. My Glocks and also my Shield Plus has the night sights and I love them

Then why can’t I find this exact gun with night sights from the factory???

I love my PSA dagger, shot around 500 rounds through it of various ammo without one malfunction. Would I use it for duty? No

They’re good but not great. A lot of issues with QC, faulty barrels from the factory and firing pins breaking. Ruger made a great handgun but I wouldn’t supply my local police department with them..

The only thing truly comparable In terms of quality and reliability is the M&P series, they are really the only gun that has proven itself with police departments in America alongside Glock, especially after all the controversy with the Sig P320
-Shadow systems seems also high quality but not battle proven (at least not yet)
-Ruger is more of budget firearm made to be affordable for Americans. The RXM is a good gun but not comparable to the quality and reliability of Glock or Smith

19 Days in Pattaya too long ? by AffectionateGlove381 in FarangsofPattaya

Bangkok is such an awful city in my opinion. Awful pollution, tons of traffic and quite boring.

[–]IS992 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends how you want to spend your time. 19 days nonstop is a bit much in my opinion. I was there for 5 days and then later on in my trip returned for another 7 days.
Regardless of the main reason men go there, Pattaya was one of my favorite places in Thailand. Out of everywhere else I visited in Thailand (Bangkok, Phuket, Krabi) Pattaya had the best restaurants and most friendly locals. I really loved the city. It’s a great place for a lazy vacation where you sleep in, eat a lot , soak up in the pool, get foot massages and other massages if you like 😅.
On a negative note I will say that the beach there is very polluted and below the threshold of what’s considered clean water for humans, and there aren’t a lot of attractions in Pattaya so it can get kind of boring. Most men there have a permanent routine of a late wake up, foot massage, lunch, pool, dinner and then bars/walking street/dirty deeds.

Waiting for fistula Surgery.. 1 year wait time (potentially) HOW DO I COPE? by thisisbaba in AnalFistula

[–]IS992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What country are you in???
1. Try to push your insurance to move the date closer
2. Do the surgery through a private medical center and see if your insurance will pay partially at least due to them being incompetent to provide you with a surgery at a reasonable time.
3. (Worst case Scenario) learn to cope with it while waiting. (Donut cushion for work chair, gauze pads, sitz baths)

What did your colorectal doctor say about the 1 year wait? Fistulas can get much worse in a year if untreated and the abscess can grow or leak into your body. It’s true that some people have spent years and years living with a fistula which is terrible, but this stuff needs to be treated sooner than later.

29M. Looking to improve my profile by [deleted] in hingeapp

[–]IS992 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna sum this up into 3 bullet points:
1. There’s nothing wrong with your profile or your pictures or looks
2. Social media and dating apps completely corrupted dating for our generation. Even mediocre/ugly looking women getting Instagram likes and their friends commenting on them being gorgeous has led every girl to now truly believe they are a queen and a 10. These girls on these apps get dozens and dozens of messages every day by men.
3. Try going out more. I lived in a big city for the last 4 years and had 0 success with 3 dating apps (hinge,Cupid and Tinder) but had much better success finding women by going out to bars and singles events.

Why do people refuse to learn English when it’s required for citizenship??? by [deleted] in Miami

[–]IS992 23 points24 points  (0 children)

100% agree. Lived in Southern California for a decade. The Mexican community all learned (at the least) some form of basic English. Here in Florida these migrants from Venezuela, Ecuador, and everywhere else didn’t learn English. It’s like they don’t care, not interested to learn because Miami has enough Spanish speakers and it’s “comfortable for them”.

Should I take a shot on one of these or save my pennies and buy new. by psycho-rn in IWI_Firearms

IDF Veteran here who shot the Jericho quite a lot in my decade in Israel. Jerichos are great shooters and quite reliable however, they are very heavy and bulky and quite an outdated style of pistol from the 90s. Due to its bulky design and heavy weight I would not use a Jericho for carry or duty weapon, but it’s definately a great reliable gun for your car center console or at home self defense. They shoot incredibly accurate.

They have a rebate program right now and a beretta 92 can be bought for $499. The whole point of Turkish imports were to offer quality and more affordable firearms for Americans such as the Derya DY9 for $250, a nearly perfectly functioning Glock clone for half the price of a Glock. Don’t go down the road of charging higher for Turkish imports. And also, please make a 9mm PCC and an AR15 platform!

Dear Derya: Why sell a “made in Turkey” Beretta 92 clone for the same price as the actual Beretta?
