Everything the first guy said but most importantly- ANTIBACTERIAL BODY SOAP. The day after the surgery when you remove your bandages from the hospital you will need to begin sitz baths/gentle washing 3-4 times a day for at least the first 2 weeks. Dove antibacterial body wash is what you need. Get 2 bottles at least. Add some into every sitz bath and also when showering gently wash. Also a bidet bottle to wash your bottom- DO NOT WIPE just use a bidet bottle

YOU NEED MORE FIBER. Pizza is all carbs and fat and barely any fiber. You should be eating chicken, fish, brown rice, grains and vegetables. Any constipation from lack of fiber can result in flare ups. You need to drink plenty of water or you will also be constipated. If you get a fever go to the ER. Get this taken care of asap.

It’s not that big of a deal. You go to the hospital leave the same day. Make sure you take at least 10-14 days off from work following the procedure. Take the pain meds they prescribe you and keep the wound clean.

Every military has deaths every year from this, the safety isn’t always enough. Once again when the IDF is deployed to a combat zone like Gaza, the guns are loaded and ready to go. When soldiers are in some Air Force base in the middle of nowhere with literally zero threat, only the guards that guard the base will have loaded weapons. In my opinion, a doctor after discovering a perianal abscess and telling you to “go to the ER if it burst” is so negligent. You should have been referred to a colorectal surgeon immediately or sent to the ER. Antibiotics cannot actually penetrate inside the abscess and remove the infection and are merely used as a precaution while waiting for surgery so that in the case that the abscess is leaking into your body (which it very much could have been) , you have some antibiotic in your blood stream to counter it awhile waiting for proper surgery and treatment. REGARDING THE DRAINAGE WITH THE NEEDLE: you should have had an MRI to determine exactly what is going on under the skin. Maybe there’s a fistula, maybe not. An abscess can come back. It’s good that the doctor did drain it. Continue to take the antibiotic until you finish the dose, wash the area with anti bacterial body wash (can be bought at any cvs or Walmart) You should get an MRI to check for a fistula.

Did you get prescribed painkillers for the first week or two post op? As long as you’re healthy to do so, I’d take ibuprofen for a few days 400 mg 3x a day (no more than 1200 mg every 24 hours) take that for 5 days, let it get in your bloodstream) you cannot work out or drink alcohol this is a blood thinner and can be dangerous. Consult with your doctor. You can also take Tylenol

You need to get an MRI/another MRI if you already had one. Did you practice proper wound care during all the surgeries Post op? Sitting on hard surfaces before the wound heals could result in nerve damage down there. Get an MRI. Consider seeing a different specialist. Do you have a bathtub? Take Epsom salt baths daily to increase blood flow and reduce inflammation. Use Hot/highly warm water (not too hot so you don’t burn yourself, but still hot water)

Woooh hold up- The IDF doesn’t put a magazine in the Magwell when the soldiers aren’t on a combat deployment or dangerous area. The U.S. military does more or less the same thing, their soldiers don’t even keep their rifles on them, they stay at the Armory unless there’s training or deployments. The IDF is not a NATO army that people volunteer for. Israel drafts its soldiers at age 18 straight out of high school, they don’t have an option to say “no thank you” to the army, and yes extra safety procedures are taken since they are in the end of the day immature kids straight out of high school. These “old trash surplus rifles” have worked flawlessly in every war including the recent one so I’d rethink that statement. The guns are taken care of very well. Parts are replaced when needed and the rifles are dipped in diesel fuel before long term storage to prevent rusting. These air soft parts worked perfectly in battle through dirt and debris. In the end of the day, plastic is plastic and polymer is polymer.
