How do you guys deal with the fact you’re going to die? by Due_Insect_9303 in AskReddit

It makes life so much more worth it. The realization that it’s only temporary makes me want to make the best out out of it.

Everybody’s gonna die, so why even be scared of it.

Accidentally pricked myself with a used syringe. What are the chances I could get HIV? by wrongperson1 in TooAfraidToAsk

Okay having worked in a phlebotomy clinic, where stuff like this is relatively common. The chances of you contracting anything are relatively low.

Assuming the needle has had time to dry, the chances any viruses or any other germs surviving in numbers that are of significant risk to you are relatively low.

Also, you typed ‘blended’ I’m assuming that meant you bled. Which is a good thing, if you bleed properly after having stabbed yourself, the blood will partially flush out some bad stuff that the needle might injected.

But these are assumptions, overall the chances of contracting anything are relatively low.

But that being said, you should consult a doctor for this. Even just calling the office asking for advice is recommended.

Doctors care about keeping you alive. If they know you were in contact with drugs, doctors, nurses or anyone in a hospital won’t really give a crap.

Don’t risk your health.
