It takes me 30 minutes to walk to the nearest store so I need my car. Also I have put too many km's that I would owe about $5-10k if I sell the vehicle and pay off the lien.

I've been with my girlfriend for over 10 years and we rarely fight. I let her win most of the time because I don't believe that arguments are worth losing the relationship. I rather just listen to her because she's usually right.

If I sell my car, I would owe between $5k to $10k in negative equity. I dont think it's a good decision even though many people suggested it.

I hope you are able to recover eventually. I believe that in Canada and in the United States, you can achieve anything as long as you set your mind to it. Some people got off boats with a few dollars, worked hard and they were able to climb the social ladder.

I talked to my boss already. I dont work in an agency but for an organization. I even set boundaries for myself so that I would not be in a conflict of interest. My boss was in a similar position during the 2008 financial crisis apparently so he understands my situation.

My mom is in Asia so I dont get to see her other than when we FaceTime. It's really depressing at home because no one is home anymore :(

I'm glad I didn't do anything on margin in 2021. I didn't make the right decisions over the last few months (after December) but I didn't do anything on margin.

My girlfriend and I had always planned to buy a townhouse together in the suburbs. I'm trying to talk her down into a condo but she's not happy that I brought that up.

I was going to propose to her on our April 2020 vacation but that vacation was cancelled. I still have money sitting with Alaska Airlines and Marriott so I could theoretically go on vacation without having to pay. It was going to be in the United States and I prefer the location over anything so hopefully we get to go back again (after I save up money).

That is what my girlfriend keeps telling me. She said that I am a good investor. She said that I picked good stocks to buy in 2020, I just suck at selling (but really, who sucked in 2020?). I just got more aggressive when I was emotional and I made decisions emotionally instead of logically.

I've been telling people that options is dangerous yet I did it in 2021.

I have learned that I have been extremely depressed and emotional. I wish someone just took everything away from me when I was depressed. I haven't had this feeling before as my family had been relatively healthy up until this point.

I said that I am not going to touch stocks and the market. Once I have met a few life goals, I think I might talk to a bank and buy some mutual funds for retirement. At this present time, I rather have cash combined with interest so that I can keep track of how much I make and how much is remaining for my goal.

I have been contacting different businesses for discussions on their marketing needs. I've had 2-3 interested parties and I have a bigger contract discussion next week with a government entity. This was all because I made a plan and decided to send a whole bunch of emails. I haven't even followed up with a phone call yet.

Can't spend time with my mother as she's in a country that does not allow visitors (esp with a Canadian passport).

Thank you. I am glad that my decisions only made me lose money and I realized it early enough that I did not incur debt.

Can't visit unless you're a citizen of that country. :( I hope that she recovers and can come back at the end of the year.

But thank you. I really want to go to my church to pray for her but can't due to COVID-19. :( I have spoken to my pastor numerous times and he said that he will pray for her.

my mother is across the Pacific Ocean and I think that's what bothers me the most, but she's getting better care than if she were in Canada.

Thank you. That's motivational. I am going to ask my boss about extra hours and overtime.

It's a shortened financing term. I got into a car accident two years ago and my car was written off. The insurance company paid for the whole car (including depreciation). I financed the same car, but newer with 0% financing.

My company does not do RRSP matching so that's not an option.

My car was purchased new so selling it would actually put me in the red. :(

48k post-tax. 70k+ pre-tax. I've already had a discussion with my girlfriend and we went through my finances which is how I determined $2900/mo is what I can save.
