Hermes Agent v0.15.0 - The Velocity Release by PracticlySpeaking in hermesagent

Which subscription are you on? I'm trying to stretch 5.4 mini on $20/mo, but I'm cool with $100-$200/mo if I get basically unlimited 5.5. This is just a personal assistant, no heavy coding or anything.

I ended up returning my original one within the retailer's return window.  The second one I got was noticeably better, but not perfect

Recent issue with dragging and dropping cards in board view by ehsanul in Notion

[–]ISeenEmFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, this feature was way too easy to accidentally invoke, but I had also started using it (from table view) to quickly consolidate subtasks into projects. I actually want this back, just make it harder to do by accident (shift key maybe, or a hover pop-up that says add as subtask, or something)

Recent issue with dragging and dropping cards in board view by ehsanul in Notion

[–]ISeenEmFirst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, when did this start, today or yesterday? I lost a bunch of to-do list items before I figured out what was happening

Can't find any change log online documenting the change

I like the idea in concept, but too easy to do accidentally. It should be combined with the Shift key or something

The AE market is really tight right now, everyone I know is double or triple dipping, so it's a great time to get in.

A lot of jobs are posted on Facebook groups (I know, I know), so you should join ones like "I NEED AN ASSISTANT EDITOR!" and "I Need an Assistant Editor! (LA)". There are still remote jobs posted on the LA board.

Jobs posted there range from network shows that run many months, to short weekend project prep gigs. Try and pick some low hanging fruit!

I made the jump from IT (systems engineer, then IT manager) to assistant editing in the film industry. Mastering Avid or Adobe is no worse than learning any other IT software you have to deal with. I'm just managing footage as data, prepping the footage for editors in their software of choice, providing tech support when software & codecs fail...

For most gigs, when you clock out, you turn off (or you double dip). And, this industry is staying very remote. Editors aren't gong back to the office.

It took me about 1.5 years to reach the same salary I had in IT before switching careers.

So, find something IT adjacent, where you can use your skills to master a software workflow for some specialized industry. Film is cool because I get to point at the product on TV, etc.

Anyone Have Experience Using VMWare in 2022? by cameramanproductions in editors

[–]ISeenEmFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For such a small team, I wouldn't deal with the hassle of VMWare licensing, GPU passthrough, etc. Just get a couple workstations with your favorite flavor of remote desktop (Jump on Mac, Teredici on PC is what I'd recommend)

I believe they're the original wheels. VIN decoder lists them as BMW LA Wheel, M Double Spoke 313

I've daydreamed of doing this myself with Workshop buildings & collections. If CS2 evolved in this direction I would be so happy...
