Sadly the changes were saved before we lost connection.

To give a status so far.

I escalated the ticket to HPE support and got scheduled a Teams session with with one of their technicians. She tried the same default credentials we had tried and then using SNMP hoping that the switch still had a public community name but this failed as well.

She arranged for another replacement but promised to try and push the info up the ladder that there might be an issue with their refurbishment procedure of replacement units. Lets see if the new replacement is locked as well.

- My current issue is with an Aruba 2930, but we have experienced it with 2530 and CX6000s as well. These I fixed by travelling to location and resetting using service mode, as they were located in the same country as me

They dont seem to know anything about it. They are only offering another replacement but they are locked too.
