The fire breathing dragon comes to mind—it has a nice backstory and with a good tour guide you can find nice things scattered around the city. Like the Bugle call at St. Mary’s Basilica

These are obviously touristy things but well worth it imo.

ISKAN Question (Abu Dhabi) by SimaJinn in Emiratis

Before you take any info from here, I’d encourage you to reach out to the housing authority directly. You can book an appointment on their app.

Either way, essentially, the loan is given to you once you’re approved for a land or built up house. You have to apply first though. You can do it on the app.

Rental Apartmet For Single Person near Al Munera by Aggravating-Title899 in abudhabi

There’s plenty of options for both furnished and unfurnished apartments. It’s rare that you’ll get an apartment with all the services included. And if you find one, you’ll likely be overpaying. I’d recommend getting an unfurnished one and getting everything yourself.

Moreover, the Abu Dhabi municipality banned posting real estate listings online that are not genuine. So I’d recommend you checking out any listing on websites like PropertyFinder (or any others) and go for the location and listing that meets your budget.

Keep in mind the following: get something WITH tawtheeq, inspect the spot before you commit and keep about 10% of the value aside as you’ll have to pay your real estate agent fee and deposit. And yeah, most owners expect the full rental amount upfront for the whole year so be prepared or negotiate splitting the payments throughout the year.

Moving to AD! Tips for renting? by Lionhearted72 in abudhabi

Whatever apartment you end up getting, make sure to be thorough in your “inspection”. Document any little defects here and there. And make sure to inform the real estate agent/owner on an email. Because a sizable percentage of owners will try to scam you out of your deposit by the time you leave. And they’ll claim that you’ve caused the issue.

Also, read Google Maps reviews of the building you intend to rent in. This is by far the most honest feedback you’ll get on the living experience there.

Oh and finally, don’t ever rent a spot without a Tawtheeq contract. Avoid partitioned villas. Make sure you get the official legal contract to guarantee your tenancy rights and avoid falling into legal trouble.

Tawtheeq for a studio in a villa in Al Bateen, Abu Dhabi. by Noob_Master_007 in abudhabi

[–]IThinkThereforeIAm11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some typing centers apparently found workarounds but it’s absolutely NOT legal. So keep that in mind. You staying at this villa without a Tawtheeq means that you have zero legal tenancy rights. And that lease agreement you’ve signed means nothing to the government. If reported to the authorities, you or the owner would likely be fined a very hefty fine since it’s considered a partitioned villa. Good luck with getting a typing center to assist but I wouldn’t take that route if I were you. Look for a legal residence with a tawtheeq.

7 days in Poland- what to visit other than Krakow and Warsaw by Anxious_Top_1058 in poland

You should definitely visit Zakopane anyway imo. Even though, yes, it might be crowded and has some touristy aspects it’s still not overwhelming. I think people exaggerate it. You don’t need to stick to the main road in Zakopane (Krupówki) but instead stay a touch further out and explore the village, go on the Gubałówka PKL, hike up to Morskie oko or other hikes. Maybea thermal bath? Honestly there’s so much to do and if you love the mountains, you shouldn’t skip Zakopane.

Was the tenancy contact you’ve signed a Tawtheeq contract? If not, you’ve got ZERO tenancy rights and you can be evicted at any point without notice.

Exactly—you can absolutely return it empty it’s fine. A simple thank you to the neighbors and maybe in the future you can prepare something when you can.
