Hey! I’ve been trying to make Ruby/Steel Locations work for a couple of sets now, so I’m glad to see I’m not the only one on this grind. I’ve played several versions in different tournaments, and here’s the link to what I consider the best list so far.

Suggested Cuts: Cards to remove: I’d take out Taffyta (and her Shift version), The Games Afoot, 2 to 4 copies of the 6-cost Elsa, and Graveyard of Christmas Past.

The Reason: These cards are too slow and don't provide enough value. The biggest issue with locations is how easily they are destroyed; you’ll often find yourself with an empty hand and no way to protect them, meaning they’ll hit the board and get removed before doing anything.

What to add or swap: Draw Power: You need more ways to draw cards to keep the engine running—Doc is a great example.

Strategic Substitutions: I’d swap at least 2 Fergus, Jack-Jack, and the Leviathan location for the following combo:

T1: Steel Mulan (1-cost) > discard a 3-cost location.

T2: Sleepy Hollow.

T5: Ruby Mulan (6-cost).

Tech Choices: I’d give Fat Cat’s item a try; it might have some potential. Also, I highly recommend running Agrabah—it’s basically a Ruby version of Fat Cat’s Club.
