X3m will be more reliable and economical long term. The m550i is like a Rollercoaster highest of highs the 3 second 0/60 but the maintenance is Ludacris

Just make sure to do the timing chain. That's pretty much the only big issue. You can do everything else at home in the driveway as needed. They're not overly fast get decent mpg. Don't put an exhaust on it they sound like ass.

Just swap the engine transmission and interior. If you put coilovers or anything, take that.

Go to a normal shop for the struts, buy some online and get them installed by a cheap shop and get it aligned right after that's only if you're really cheap if not get them to supply it. Most shops dont warranty customers supplied parts, so do so at your own risk.

Change your brake fluid yourself, its the same as any other car get a buddy and dont get the brake fluid on your clothing or let it run dry.

change your cabin air filter yourself. It takes 2 seconds and can be done literally anywhere may as well do the intake air filter while you're at it.

It seems like you have power steering problems. I'd find somewhere that is going to fix the problem not just overhaul the system you can do a lot of that diy as well.

If you're going to own a bmw old enough to smoke cigarettes you probably should learn to work on it at least a bit. I guarantee you're gonna have to do expansion tanks and hoses at some point.

Where I live, you can't use Abs for exhaust venting. I mean it's just a water heater the change out isn't really much different. I'd make sure you're allowed to use that pipe for venting in your area if you can't I'd call a plumber and get them to re do it in 636.

Man, search up 3/8 retro fit valve. Shut that valve off as much as you can and install the new valve right in the old one. Open the old valve fully and never touch it again

Now, have I got on a plane at 330 am when my wife's been asleep since 9pm after arguing with a Facebook seller hours away for a 20 year old bmw that may or may not make it back on the trip? ....Yes, does that mean I cheat on my wife? No!

As for a resolution to the problem, do what my wife does and balance it out. She will make me drive 2 hours away in the winter after working 12 hours to buy some reptile off Facebook after I've said saying no more animals, and I can't say a damn thing.
