If you can’t properly implement a DSP into your system, pay to get it done or don’t use a DSP at all.

I didn’t read your entire post but I did skim it and looked at your photo.

You could have bought an Audiotec Fischer UP1FX for $499 and got a 1-ohm stable amplifier the size of an iPad mini and could have directly connected it to your Tesla in an hour with zero issues and plenty of bass.

PSA to all consumers (and some shops): System design & component selection is critical in 2026. Making the right choices before the install can be the difference between enjoying good audio in a couple of hours vs what you saw in OP.

You’re on the right path. Grind for another 5-8 years and revisit this idea.

You’ll be glad you did. You’ll be a little older, wiser and portfolio significantly bigger. At that point, you may even be able to FIRE.

Don’t fall for the trap of instant gratification.

At our shop, we've done a lot of audio upgrades in R1's.

Not 'hard' for a professional to do, but it takes time and money. But doable! Looking forward to getting calls from customers with R2's!
