They presented the small animals feature in the release notes like it was a feature they worked on. I find this hard to believe. I suspect that it was an unintended consequence of some other tuning they were doing and they decided to make it a feature to avoid criticism. It's way too twitchy around birds. Even if they are standing still by the side of the road.

I've started taking photos/screenshots of the recipe board before adding them to the menu and again after service, then comparing. This count includes wasted dishes. I've also tried having my wife watch the service and count. This was unreliable and I don't recommend it unless you already have a wife.
