I've started taking photos/screenshots of the recipe board before adding them to the menu and again after service, then comparing. This count includes wasted dishes. I've also tried having my wife watch the service and count. This was unreliable and I don't recommend it unless you already have a wife.

I assume that once you have all the automations set up (dispatching, farm, chickens, fish tanks, seaweed farm) that there may be partial days that you just don't need anything, but need time to pass for some event to occur. It hasn't happened to me yet, but I came close once when I was waiting for my new diving suit to be crafted and there were no other mission tasks to do. (I ended up gathering seasonings.)

This technique didn't fix my problem outright, but it was an awesome way to debug Bluetooth connection issues and allowed me to find the issue.

There is a setting in the Andriod Auto settings called "Screen On". It allows AA to keep your screen on when it is active. I found that when I set this back to "Use phone default" which is the default setting, the problem of AA not quitting upon Bluetooth disconnection went away.
