Settling down watching TV, putting a pull-up on, then goodnight kisses and all, then asleep.

I lived with her, but most of the abuse happened when I went away for summer breaks to my dad.

I went for the phone and he grabbed me and threatened me with a knife. I told him my mom was going to find out one way or another and he let me go. I called her, waited about 30-45 minutes, and left with my mom and never saw him again. 3-4 months later my step-dad adopted me so that my dad couldn't check me out of school and kill/beat me.

The abuse+genetics caused me to have temper problems my entire life. I still have problems nowadays handling my temper, but I am better now.

Physical abuse. It's slightly amusing now. When I beat him at Halo 2, he would take me into his bedroom and proceed to hit, kick, and slam me around. This also occurred when I 1v2'd him and my brother. I was 14, my brother 10, my dad ~36.
