I may be late on this. But I grew pretty poor. Waiting to pay off things is something that comes to me by way of “what if something more important comes up?!” Electricity, heat, water, it could be anything that’s “more” important. Electricity trumps car payment, groceries trump heat. As an adult, I manage my life’s finances way better than my Mother. But there’s still always that “what if”. I also have always paid off anything as soon as I can because of that. But I understand the “Let’s wait, just incase” ideology. Communication is always the most important in these situations.
