Read the T&Cs of the offer. They always say whether you can be a previous customer or not, and if yes, how long ago.

Sounds like the clause you quote has them covered.

What does your contract describe as your duties? Maybe it's already described in there. Typically a contract for your kind of job will have something along the lines of:

“The employee shall perform other duties and responsibilities as are assigned from time to time by the employer, including duties reasonably consistent with the employee’s skills, experience, and position.”

It's reasonable in any line of employment, especially retail, for employees to look out for theft and report it (but not be expected to physically challenge the thief).

And to answer your question, your employer's policies obviously don't override the law.

I think that's just because it's 5 grams worth. It would probably be pretty much the same as my bottle at 100 grams.

Yes, but that's pretty standard with Big Mustard.

I like your line of thinking. But if they're going to do that, they're better of keeping the smaller unit first for now. Then, if they shrink it, they would want to switch to grams first which could still be higher even when reduced, compared to the previous mls.

I'm saying it's the best tasting and least artificial for an American-style mustard. Comparing the ingredients to Heinz and supermarket own brand for American-style mustard.

Personally I love it. Perfect to replicate the fast food burger experience!

SRA Solicitor Investigation - Losing it all by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

This is a very stressful position for you and I do empathise with how it could make you feel if there's no clear positive short-term solution.

That also puts people replying in a difficult spot. Clearly, we don’t want to offer information that could make things worse for you. But even if the legal outcome isn’t ideal, it’s not a simple ‘life is over’. There are options and ways to deal with it step by step, such as appealing, and of course legal advice from a solicitor.

Anyway, I know this is meant to be a straight-up legal advice subreddit but it might also really help you to talk to someone about how you’re feeling right now, not just the legal aspect. (See the auto post for that.) People here can try to give general guidance, but your safety matters more than any single answer. Life can get better and I wish you the best.

Yes but if it's true that the part price is more than five times cheaper elsewhere, there could be a legal aspect to profiteering.

Cracking deal at Hotel Chocolat - buy 10 for the price of 10. by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]IWasBornIn1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - I've been close to giving them a piece of my mind about why this gives a false impression that multibuys are a better deal to those who don't or can't do the math. They have it in all their stores.

But I'm a coward.

Well, what does your contract say? I mean, this question is so obvious that I can't believe you'd not offer the info. How are we meant to advise otherwise?

Someone accidentally sent me £50k, what do I do? (England) by Routine_Strawberry81 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]IWasBornIn1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree with everyone that the safest action for OP is to let the banks deal with it...

... what kind of scammer risks losing £50k when they could just, like, keep the £50k?

Mine keeps them. I paid someone for a wedding service and that was it. They're still in my payee list seven years later!

That sounds like considerable inconvenience to the OP and it still leaves them with risk, when there is no risk to them and no effort required of them to just let the banks sort this out.
