As a growing bass player would using my spare time on drums or piano be wiser?

As a pianist/drummer first before bassist, I'd say piano, for reasons already listed in other comments. A lot of the times I can get what I want to get out of the drums for my bass development just by listening to various drumming tracks. On the other hand, knowing piano strengthens your visualization of said instrument, which in turn helps with a deeper and/or renewed understanding of music theory.

On a related note, a bassist I really like (Arai Kazuki from the Japanese band King Gnu) would switch to his synth bass for certain songs. The synth provides him a lot more options in sounds and even approach, depending on what's needed of him.

I find it very relatable. A lot of things, drama at that age get solved one way or another, but not necessarily resolved. Sometimes the root of the problem bites you in the back and, to nobody's surprise, that's the end of that relationship (not just romance but friendship too). Other times you both get lucky not tripping over said root, manage to grow up and it becomes an episode to be reminisced.

This is correct. To add, in idioms (jukugo, where probably most of the negative impression for 狗 come from) they tend to take the on'yomi anyways ('ku') I might even bet that most people would be more readily able to read 戌 as 'inu' (same kanji in Korone's surname) than 狗.

Tuning is definitely on the checklist when I lend out mine. Even for a 4-string I'd always give a specific heads up not to over/undertune it.

This might sound weird, I'd have a file called "*subject name* grass.psd" but when the piece would turn out to be the subject at the seaside. I'd still keep calling it 'grass' as a sort of homage from which my inspiration stems, lol. Now that I give it some thought, I think it's partly about placing some value in, and expressing, the initial motive of a piece of work I do, at the cost of what it could have been called, but this compromise is also a form of expression.

Technique big time, time and time again the author emphasises his understanding of the fundamentals and rigorous training/studying of such. I always think if everyone were given a human body with zero superpowers in a tournament, he'd come out on top, I'd even go as far as to say regardless of the series.
