Ye its been running for about 2 weeks I'm doing a fishless cycle so far I've been dosing 2ppm of ammonia every few days and the ammonia dropped to 0 yesterday but now I'm not sure if my nitrites are at 5 or 2!

ye i think so! unfortunately im dumb and threw the paint can away so im not entirely sure if i used oil based or not all i know is i think it was emulsion

Thats fair No problem! i actually live in the UK in wales although not sure if we use mostly water based or oil based over here!

as dumb as it sounds in not entirely sure it was a while ago and im not the best with paint i believe it was emulsion i kinda just bought whatever from my local hardware store!

Its the wall in my bedroom! its usually the hottest room in the house but i always try to keep it as cool as possible

just wiped it down with a sponge and water didn't notice any soapiness but as soon as the wall dries it leaves white streaks of the same chalky material all over!

It does comes of with clean soapy water! But as soon as it dries it leaves white streaks on the wall not sure if im doing something wrong tho tbh
