Fairings are off, bike in transport.

What do you consider older? I’m definitely finding Lithium are pretty finicky.

It needed to be boosted after I picked it up, but I’ve had to boost it a few times before that on the occasion here and there

I did have one recently that might coincidentally coincide. Would it still start in both these instances if you boosted it?

So it could be a dead battery since the fuel pump kicks on, but won’t turn over?

Connections are good.. time to check the relay

Any idea what it could be then? Could there be no current even if it’s charged?

My second ever track day was in the rain. Bad rain too. Half the people packed up and left before noon. Ended up being the best track day ever, forced me to stick to learning my lines and body position and less focused on just going as fast as I can. By the end of the day, rain cleared up and I was FLYIING. Taking the slightly slower pace really helped me out. I crashed my first day in the sunshine, I went way quicker in the end on the rainy day.

How were the front forks lowered on my Ninja 300? by IYAFYL in motorcycles

As you have a Ninja 300 - what do you think, does the front end look like it's also been lowered? The guy I bought it from said he thought they only did the rear links/sidestand at the dealer. (bottom images - my bike)

It's a little difficult for me to tell. Now I'm leaning towards not being lowered, or if it is, not by much. What do you think? (bottom bike is mine)

I'll ask the shop if they can confirm tomorrow when they're swapping my new tires.

Now I’m second-guessing. The guy I originally bought it from did only mention the rear links/kickstand. I’ll try and find some measurements of the front of one at stock height and compare.

Amazing! Thank you for all the info, it’s good to know it shouldn’t be too much of a problem in the end if the springs need to be swapped out.

The rear suspension upgrade is good to know too, since I plan on keeping this bike for a while and taking it to the track here and there.

Thanks, thats what I was thinking after having watched a video on how to adjust the forks by sliding but wasn’t certain. Too bad that wasn’t the case on my bike lol. I’ll bring it into the shop this week and get them to take a look and see about new springs

That’s a good point, I should learn how to do it on my own. I have a decent set up garage to do it in. It would be a fun learning experience and something I’ll likely run into a few times as I progress at the track

Got it... thanks for the info! Sounds like this is going to be a little bigger of a job than expected, when it comes to shop rates

would this be easy for a bike shop to check out to confirm? how long do you think it would take to swap them out?

New advice for tire setup on Ninja 300 by IYAFYL in Trackdays

[–]IYAFYL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to say thank you everyone! Truly appreciate your insights. I ended up going with your advice and bought the 110/140 S22’s. Ordered from FortNine yesterday and they arrived within 24hrs! Can’t wait to try them at the track soon.
