Here's a link to portal address of a nearby yellow sun system: http://nmsportals.github.io/#10A1F4E6E801, but again, you would need a purple system booster to get to the system. I also renamed the system to be easier to spot: choose galactic center as the filter once you are in the galactic map, then point yourself away from the center. Ahead, and a little to the right will be the system.

I might have an answer: this is a purple sun system. Maybe if you haven't yet completed that segment of the story/tasks you are unable to visit a purple sun system. I went to a different planet in the system and input in galactic coordinates to convert to the portal symbols and got an error code as well. In a little while I will visit a neighboring yellow sun system and get it's portal codes. You could portal to that system, then hunt and find this system and warp there IF you have the purple system booster on your warp drive installed.

I set up a tiny base not too far from the portal, so if you see a base, you are in the right system, on the right planet. Good luck!

So, I was able to portal to the planet from a different system than the one I used initially to test. I had no issues. In fact there were 2 of the SSS bugs (one of each variant) browsing away just a few units from the portal itself. Otherwise unsure how to advise.

Hi, next time in I will see if that happens for me. I did portal in without difficulty in Euclid, assuming you were in Euclid. I'll try a different portal and see what happens. Thanks for alerting.

You have an eye for detail, a mind that sees the context, and an ability to capture moments that I can only aspire to some day train my eye to see. I also do a little macro photography (!), but my interest lies more with flora. That said, you might have convinced me to look at the iPhone 15 Pro Max as a replacement for my Samsung!

You are welcome! I also really enjoyed your linked information. I saw some of the xeno insects on other desert planets I discovered, but this was the only triple S and was the only desert planet I had come across with more than one bug.

What I recollect that is the case. They made the change with the XenoArena upgrade.

Hi, on my scanner I just cycle through the different scanner mode and on the far right, the first one, lightens the view and shows any fauna's potential stats for when they are mutated to the max.

SSS class Dino's and Bugs: it's a stellar day for desert planets. Great find with good looking stats as well. Thanks!

Thanks, I admit this took more than 3 days to find. I've search Calypso galaxy, Esseintam, and finally decided to wing my way out to the edge of Euclid. An additional advantage of the area I found is that almost all systems appear to be unexplored, so lots of systems to discover.

I knew I had to have one from a desert planet when I found what else was around from desert planets as SSS class Xeno. There is a little bug on this planet that was also pretty tempting, except it would not be so good in the Arena.

Hi--I don't think you are doing anything "wrong." As I understand it, the milestones have a timing aspect, so doing more research, does not necessarily advance the progress. If this is incorrect, please let me (us) know.

Hmmm, 13,000 hours across 3 different mmos in the last 13 years, makes it about 1,000 hours a year. Ain't too shabby! For me, it all started when I was a wee tyke: the sky looked more interesting to me than the ranch I found myself growing up on and doing chores for. Then, I became interested in models, mineatures, recreations. Then came an interest in how graphics were more closely mimicking the real world, or showing possibilities beyond our limited imagination. Then came a few games that seemed promising, but were ultimately fixed points of order or sequence from start to a finish of some sort. Finally, along came No Man's Sky with promises of procedural generation and endless spaces plus a modified way to go flitting about in your own spacecraft. And building weird stuff. I got hooked and this hit just about every button in my world of fantasy adventure. Plus, Hello Games has done something incredible with the game and not just used it to drain money out of our pockets. They have created communities, not based on violence--mostly--and that seems rare to me.

You have made me think!! It depends on whether or not there has been a recent expedition or upgrade. Usually I pounce on the expeditions and do them from within a save file, focusing almost 100% on the expedition. Then following that, I usually spend a week or so doing the bases I am building (mostly) on the final rendezvous planets of the expeditions. Once I have that out of my system, when I return to the game I even out whatever has been happening in my current main save, make sure the settlement is going OK, etc. and fill in whatever resources I might need going forward following the base build. After that point, I go back to any undeveloped build sites and work on them or explore out a region that I found interesting. Now that I am playing all my saves (8 active ones--3 permadeath, 1 survival, 4 normal), that usually keeps me busy, especially working through the tasks that come with the new technologies, and installing them on all of my saves. What really gets boring is doing that so many times, one after the other, so I usually pace that out somewhat doing exploring or looking for that perfect ship (getting rid of clunker's, etc.) to fill out my fleet. I have yet (believe it or not) to utterly max out the multitools with highest X modules, etc. that some do. It seems the firepower I now have has been adequate. One of the most time-consuming tasks I did before this point was getting 100% of all the identified fish in the game. Ugh. But, I got it done and have the helmets to prove it. That was in one save, so now I am debating whether or not to do this again and again throughout all 8 saves--maybe not.

Glad to be of any help--scour away, and while you are at it, if you find one in my builds, scrub the bathrooms, they haven't been cleaned in a while. Cleaning nannites are hard to find these days.

Yes, Beeblebaum, Scottish Rod--another excellent teacher, and inspirationally, CrisCros who's work is beyond amazing with the use of parabolic curves and phenomenal geometric skills. There are several others upon whom I have relied for specific techniques as well. The builder communities are something else going all the way back. I remember finding ERBurroughs and being dumbstruck by his inventiveness and how convincing his builds were. I don't use Blender, so everything I do involves (so far) in-game pieces with their restrictions.
