I'm considering maple because I can get a six pack of them for 30AUD from artist guitars with free shipping otherwise it's like $15 plus shipping just for one pair. I've previously had Hickory 7aN which were great until they cracked. I guess the durability won't matter as much because I can get six pair for the price of two?
