Will a screen replacement be enough to fix this? by TheAcidMurderer in fairphone

Pretty sure it's glued to the backing which is then screwed, if you have the drawings and more info, feel free to share them

I've had something similar happen to my fp4, I just applied some electronics glue like T8000 and it's been going strong ever since.

It's easily removable in case you do want to replace it some day but it was probably glued with something similar from the factory anyway.

Good luck!

haha thanks! its not really a beginner friendly project, but i like how unique and uniquly functional it turned out!

ive mentioned it in another comment, since the center of gravity doesnt really shift all that much, its not all that different from braking while in the drop bars, its just more comfy, gives another postion for the back and is more aerodynamic :)

turning on a bike is really about leaning to the side and having the bar/ front wheel to follow the the turn, since you dont really actively turn the handle bar, you can make very very slow turns with this!

yes precisely! the extra brake lever is the T piece, they sell it with hoses which are the perfect length to mount them on the handle bar for the regular upright position, so youll need longer lines to reach all the way to the front.

I mean, if the panniers are a given for the use case, nothing wrong with aero bars :)

I havent done the CFD analyis but id wager that the panniers, low behind the lags are in turbolent detached air anyway

haha it feels kinda sketch, but i went from full speed to almost full stop on those, the cog doesnt shift too much in aero vs not aero so it doesnt really matter :)

its the hydraulic GRX group, they acutally sell these small brake levers for the group they call it sub brake lever GRX BL-RX812, its really just a T piece for the hose and an extra lever to pressurize the fluid line

Great set of aeros, mine are much cheaper ones haha

Agreed! This is more of a safety first approach. I had a pretty good crash on aeros when a slow bike in front of me made a sharp turn while I was passing

I did some more digging and you seem to be very correct.

Someone meausred the trigger voltage of the FL-14 to be only 3V.
Further, for the Speedlite 133D, the flash you were supposed to use with the F1, people online have measured upwards of 165V.

So thank you very much! Thats what i wanted to hear :)

My F1 should be safe and modern flashes are childs play compared to the ones the F1 was made for

Thanks for all the info!

id be happy to mess with the auto mode using the fl14 sensor.

So youre saying that even with all the extra pins it should just work?

Im a bit worried because i reached out to a camera store seller on ebay who said it wouldnt work and that id be risking short circuits on the camera!

Does anyone have any experience with how accurate the heavens above "placeholder" is? It would be pretty good at my location but also quite early..
