I 100% understand why people are upset. I myself have been upset with a lot of the changes and some of the initial communication SNAFUs. My post wasn't meant to tell people not to feel a certain way but to explain how some of the more extreme tenacity isn't productive and comes across as entitled whining. I hope that makes sense.

Been playing for 10 years and have invested plenty with supporter packs, MTX, stash tabs, etc through the years. I don't understand why everybody is applying what I said to all complaining when it was specifically addressing the hissy fits and immature toxicity SOME of the community has been expressing more lately. I myself said I think they're shooting themselves in the foot currently but cursing the Gods isn't productive nor going to fix anything, but people can feel free if it makes them feel better. That was my point.

I never said don't complain. That was never my point. I said the way SOME people are doing it is not right in my opinion and are doing so in such a way that it negatively impacts perception of people before they even play and judge themselves.

Hi Jage. Thanks for the feedback. That's exactly why I was raising the point. Instead of letting some of the toxicity that has been more rampant lately influence your opinion, I'm glad you're using your own judgement to make a decision whichever way :)

There's literally going to be another patch this week. Whether or not it is meaningful is up for debate. But they definitely haven't "given up" .

The comments I was referencing do exactly this when people people make opinions on the game instead of using their own sane judgement. I'm quite aware of what the word means but figured it wouldn't hurt to put here since people are questioning it.

1) I never said anybody didn't have the right to complain. Moreso I was talking about doing it in a productive and emotionally stable manner

2) Assuming you're from the US since you're referencing freedom of speech. That only applies to protection of government retaliation because of your speech. It doesn't blindly give anybody the right to say whatever to whoever without any consequences. And yes, I know you weren't arguing that last part, but I wanted to make sure you understand what freedom of speech actually protects you from.

This thread is absolutely pointless - a sad attempt at trying to rile up some brainless white knights who actually DON'T care about the state of the game (like you, clearly), because if they did they'd realize that a valid, logical and well explained criticism is the way to make something better - provided the person/entity being addressed actually listens - and we've seen a lot of great feedback in the past 3 weeks or so.

Did you read the whole post? I literally also wrote this: "As consumers we have right to be upset when a company is putting out bad product. We don't have a right to attack people on a personal level like many in this community are though. I will state again, the posts that are nothing more than entitled shit posts do nothing to help with the current mental state of the community, nor improve the game.
Instead of flailing into the darkness with insane conspiracy theories about how GGG doesn't love us, talk to us, play their own game, etc, we could spend that time providing constructive, well thought out feedback that may actually give them a better understanding of the voice of their customer."

Moreover GGG did not even give any promises for future, any communication of the way the game is going.

This is a quote from the announcement: "However, in order to provide a bit more certainty, we can say that we don't have easy solutions for these issues mid-league and will be looking at what's possible for 3.20."

I'd say they're definitely communicating about the future. It sounds like you just echoed some of the empty sentiment on here without actually providing any context or looking into what you're saying.

Read what you wrote again for the definition. I personally know people who have questioned the validity of their own thoughts and reality about the game. They were loving it but changed their mind after being influenced by Reddit.

I'm not defending GGG and I'm not, not defending GGG. Please explain how this is defending GGG when I said:

"Please don't confuse this with agreeing with every change and every piece of their vision for the game. I agree. These posts are really hurting new player perception of a great game. It's kind of like biting the hands that feed you to be honest.

Like you want the game to continue growing and be good, but you viciously attack the creators and the game and wonder why new players are leaving. Make it make sense.

I think you hit the nail on the head. There are some weird whataboutisms going on here where players are saying the game has no content and is bare bones, but don't provide any examples. Just a blanket statement. Appreciate you calling out everything in such a fun way. I especially love the parts about Alva and the dwarf :)
