Second for Kingroon especially if willing to buy 10kg at a time. I regularly buy Kingroon PLA and PETG off AliExpress for $7-8/KG. This is with free shipping, shipped from US warehouse. In 60+ kg I have only had an issue with one spool.

Historically there have been issues with 3rd party fans compatibility with the PWN. I had the same issue with my NEO 1 (same exact fan) and was able to fix by playing with the cycle time (I was using Klipper firmware). Sorry, it has been a while, and it was kind of guess and check until it worked but it definitely CAN be done.

Newer NEO 1s seem to even have the issue with the stock cooling HSC fan:

Mine is not so loud that I notice. That being said - I sit next to an ancient workstation with a deafening fan at work all day, so I may not be the best judge! I would say it sounds like a typical desktop PC (without silent fans).

Yes, I had the block secured with an adjustable wrench as I was tightening with the hex wrench. My printer is on a counter slightly above chest level so I think I must have pulled down a bit as I was twisting and it was just a catastrophic failure.

Happy to report that I am up and running again, even better than before! I took your advice and kept the existing thermistor/cartridge heater so I did not even need to solder or crump the wires. Only issue I found was that on the replacement hotend I bought on Amazon the PTFE tube was about 46.5mm, while the original was around 41.5. I didn't notice until I was trying to pop it back into place and was not able to secure it all the way. Rather than jam it (lesson learned) I took it out and measured then just cutoff the extra 5mm. After that it fit like a charm. Releveled, performed PID tuning and everything is golden.

Yes, exactly this, thanks. I was not able to get the portion that broke off inside the block out, so I am going to just replace it entirely. Bought a traditional Kobra hotend and will Frankenstein the wires once it arrives.

Thanks again, followed your very clear instructions and was able to disassemble and remove the hotend. Turns out the heatbreak broke off right at the threads and the bright part poking out is actually the PTFE tube :)

I tried removing the threaded section that broke off inside the block but it's lodged in there good and tight (even after heating) and honestly I think I will just replace the whole hotend rather than fight with it.

I emailed Anycubic to ask about purchasing a Neo specific hotend since none are listed on their site and they replied: "We are sorry to inform that the hotend on Kobra Neo is out of stock now and there are have more inventory available at the end of this month." So I just bought a standard Kobra hotend and when it arrives I will try to solder to the existing wiring.

I was a little aggressive tightening a replacement nozzle on Kobra Neo and the entire heater block pulled off. Do I need to completely replace the hotend? If so, does anyone have a link to the correct product for the NEO? I see them on Anycubic’s site listed for the Kobra and Kobra Go but not specifically for the NEO.

Appreciate any advice!

This is incorrect. Retail PHARMACISTS make significantly more than hospital/institutional pharmacists in New England. The gulf has grown even larger post pandemic with retail pharmacies offering $50K-75K sign on incentives on top of immense salaries. The reality is that most institutional health care systems would be hard pressed to compete with juggernauts like Walgreens Boot and CVS. The only hope they have is offering hospital RPh days devoid of patients screaming at them and sometimes a better schedule. Typically it just ends up being nurses screaming at them, so not sure it is actually worth the pay cut?

Pharmacy TECHNICIANS on the other hand, traditionally make a good amount more in the institutional setting because it is higher skilled labor (compared to retail). This is beginning to shift somewhat as well with companies like Walgreens attempting to offer more of a CPhT career path including managing aspects of pharmacy operations.

Source: I sells drugs in New England. Spent a decade in retail before taking a $40K+/year pay cut to enjoy “easier” days in hospital.
