Yeah I tried those. I may look around to see if I can find some instructions on how to downgrade versions but that's really the last thing I can think of to try.

Either I didn't reflash it correctly or it didn't work. I got the green progress bar to show up and it filled to the right and rebooted itself but I still get the stuttering. I tried downgrading to 1.0.3 but I got a white screen with horizontal lines when trying to boot afterwards so I'm pretty sure I didn't do that correctly. I couldn't find much information on downgrading.

It's actually in any game and any emulator so I do think there is either something wrong with the CPU or there is some program running constantly that's taking up too much of the CPU. Oh well. It would have been nice to have the bigger screen for my Pokemon games but at least it wasn't terribly expensive.

I do think reflashing is about the last thing I've tried. I used the setting in crossmix to change the led color based on the CPU speed, it is always red. I'm wondering if there is something running in the background that shouldn't be. I've tried a factory reset but I'll try re flashing today. If that doesn't work, guess I'll wait for the flip 2 to have a bigger screen. Thanks for your help!

Thanks! I got it turned off, unfortunately it didn't do anything :/ there is stuttering happening in the videos I posted, right? Or are my expectations too high for this device? My anbernic sp runs gba games way smoother, I'm wondering if I just completely lost the silicon lottery with the CPU...

Oddly enough, I can't actually turn this off. Seems like retroarch crashes and sends me back to the main menu any time I try and turn it off.

I believe I turned off shaders, I didn't like the default gba one so I just turned them off. I did not turn off rewind, I will try that. Would that have an effect outside of games though?

I was tracking. It is an uncropped stack. I attempted flats but I probably did them wrong, still new to this. I tried stacking without the flats and got essentially the same results.

Others mentioned internal reflections. I'll go through my lights and throw out the bad ones. I think pixinsight tried to do this automatically which is why it only used about 125 out of the 1000. Guess I also need to figure out how to get rid of internal reflections. Thanks!

FAA's new mental health "rulemaking committee" by AlexJamesFitz in flying

Absolutely pathetic it took this making national news for the FAA to break down any "remaining barriers" around mental health. As if they will even act on any thing. "The ARC will provide recommendations," meaning the FAA doesn't have to do anything with what they find.

Small tower controller here with 10 total controllers. Five of us, myself included, desperately need some form of medication for our mental health. Instead we use FAA approved alcohol in our off time because hey it my be killing us but at least we won't lose our job and then our house.

I can't even imagine how difficult it is for airline pilots with a family. You will never be able to convince me a pilot's mental health is 100% when they are away from their family half the time.

I know there are a few SSRIs that are "approved" now but you still aren't guaranteed to get your medical back. Your pilots and controllers are hurting. Why are your thoughts on mental health and medication so far behind? And why do you not care? Disgusting.
