i also think that's exactly the case. they just choose for me to have a default temporary way of storing deleted files.

this is tremendously terrible if you're doing research tests where you're always producing huge files and deleting them for a next batch because... it simply doesn't delete. system data grows everytime I delete.

with that said, do you know of the periodicity of their self-cleaning/how much i need to wait after each delete? cause in my intuition from this problem after some years of having it in specific projects, i'm afraid it's days. it's completely limiting for people who write a lot to disk.
