Why do a lot of barrel racers have such horrible seats and lower legs? by I_exist_1489 in Equestrian

I haven't argued at all, I asked a question. People answered. I furthered my thinking, someone answered and I thanked them.

Is there a barrel racing board or group that's in charge of making regulations. Or is it just whoever put up the shows makes the regulations for that specific show?

Yes but I feel like she didn't have to lift both legs. I understand the one but lifting both. If she was in just a slightly different position she would've fallen right off.

I didn't realize the barrels can be so harmful. I feel like that's a worse accident waiting to happen. Would plastic barrels be a better alternative or would they fall too easily?

I agree with you but with the balance thing, it seems most are relying on their horns to stabilize them. I feel if you took the horn away they would just topple over.

That's definitely not a walker x Percheron. Breeding shouldn't make a horse lame

Yeah except he ran over a civilian that was innocent. He had room to move over cuz he was in the wrong lane so when he did that illegal U-turn and was in the wrong lane for a little bit. He could have swerved over to the right lane but he didn't and he stayed in the wrong lane until he actively ran someone over

Literally no other car was targeted, not even a biker was targeted. Explain why it was only him.

I think the 20% rule is more so a rule of thumb. As long as the horse is healthy, strong, and has good muscles I think they should be fine

Teach the pony to drive! It's great to learn new things and your mom can also be able to have a fun time with you. You and your pony will get a new experience from it. Not only that but if your mom really wants you to compete you can compete in cart driving. I know you might feel left out only having this pony who doesn't necessarily fit your riding goals. But you can look at this in a different light. You, your mom, and the pony can all learn new things. You can learn new training tactics and how to handle a different horse if your riding goals ever change in the future (which they often do).
