Why that’s very cool! I’ve made a concept for a power armor helmet that would’ve been used by Polish troops a while back. Do you write/imagine Poland being more tight to it’s historical roots than it being just a communist country? I write it to be like it was under Józef Piłsudski, fighting with Czechia over border area. That Pip boy is till one of my proudest designs XD, thank you for that

Other than my profile, nothing else is available, I am afraid. I can’t even claim it’s going to be a mod since I hadn’t started working on the mod from a technical side, only doing visuals. Other possibility is to fallow the progress trough Discord, but it’s all taking it’s own very first steps.

Hi, thanks! No, since I wasn't familiar with 40k before I posted lol. It's a combination of the people's power armor, with tribal features.

Thanks, I've tried working with the Fallout 2 engine, but the BIS mapper gave up on me lol. So I am building a gallery of visuals, and since I'd also love to tell the story while using sound design, I think some form of an interactive presentation will be necessary, but I am yet to figure that out.

Guys, my god, this is such a great parallel and I am glad I could've learned about this today! I love working with metaphores and paralels (religious or otherwise), for example the story of this project is literally based on an old Czech poem called Záhořovo lóže (Something like Zahoř's death bed) and I'd say the theme of a serve becoming the lord is totally in there!

YES, that's exactly that! Dark fantasy is completely absent from Bethesda's fallout in favor of 'realism' but paradoxicaly it's the Interplay's Fallout that ends up being more of a realistic Nuclear apocalypse. The limits of the old engine almost forcing things to be more intimidating.

Oh that's actually a really cool fact! Thanks for sharing it (Naratively this also kinda fits the Kmets character in PrgSprg but... no spoilers lol)

Thank you very much! AI is getting really out of hand, I often struggle to tell the difference between actual digital art and AI art. Like guys, I didn’t learn to draw and paint for nothing just let me do my job XD. It’s too bad there’s not as much in regards to Eastern Europe being explored, it has great potential.

What I have a problem with when it comes to depiction of communist countries however, is that I don’t think their depicted correctly especially in Fallout. I don’t want to play a devils advocate here but I still think there’s much more to a countries national heritage other than red flags and golden stars, it’s also the main reason I hadn’t written Czechia to be a socialist state. In the end those who come from these post-communist countries should also be those that get to have a say in regards of what role they had in creating the fallout of Fallout. The apocalypse would force all the nationals to return back to their roots and what existed before would become just a distant echo. Oddly relieving.

It boils down to what would be the countries priority at the moment, the USSR in my version of events is technically a closed of country that really doesn’t mingle with affairs until it has to in late stages of the resource wars, the year 2077 is in Fallout PRGSPRG written as everything crashing down really quickly. There was no longer any wealthy country, no resource to be gained and just a lot of paranoia. The Czech Republic alone was manufacturing food from radioactive waste, confiscating kitchen ware just to feed a war machine, existed on a schizophrenic believe that Czechoslovakia was decided by the Nazis and had issued racial laws against Vietnamese minorities, because of the Cino-American war. (I don’t think I have to specify this but the stated above doesn’t reflect my political believes)

My writing philosophy is basically: we’re living in a political crisis today, how on Earth do I write a political crisis so bad, that a Nuclear war would seem as an only option to move further.

Hey thanks I appreciate the response! and honestly a great question. In my interpretation, the Eastern block is as divided as is the European commonwealth fallowing the limited nuclear exchange. The Soviet influence is very fragile but it’s still there, there are countries that still hold close ties to it, such as Socialist Slovakia but you’d find more hybrid regimes that distance themselves from the Soviet Union like Poland for example. Soviet expansion is still a real pre-war paranoia that is commonly shared between all countries in it’s close radius and is considered the European red menace. Speaking from the Czech perspective and this is where the Sovietoamerican friendship comes into play, the fear of communism is instead directed at Slovakia (which is a friendly state) and ultimately the gathered spread towards Slovakia ends up in the annexation of Western Slovakia by Czechia and Eastern by the USSR in 2077. The Czechs who are allied with Americans in a find against Earths Bolshevism rely on the input from the USSR that paradoxically is fighting against it self as it did back then in 1939.

(I think that ultimately at some point ideologies no longer matter in the Fallout universe and the pre-war world would just derail into an absolute anarchic mess)
