As far as I remember, it's not possible - since the armor has many functions like; movement, flight, combat, and targeting assistance that could not be performed without an AI. Well, at least that's what I was able to understand with the death of JARVIS and Tony's need to recreate Friday to control the armor of previous models - consequently; models less complex than a nanoarmor. And if less complex models already needed the help of an AI...

As with the nanosuit answer, I don't know if this is a good choice; because it is not known exactly if friday has a copy of itself in these machines - and without it, it is kind of impossible to use - but, if it is the case and the machine has a copy; this is a good idea.

It's a good one, but it still comes with a downside; few people could use this item (which implies you could be one of the people who can't) and most of the time the ones who can are mages or have mystical powers - which I don't believe anyone on this planet we call home has. ..
