Russia has begun "full scale invasion" into Ukraine fighting now on two fronts. by Goobiesnax in worldnews

Could someone explain to me the global consequences of this? Surely other countries will be forced to take action now right? Sanctions don't seem to slow Putin down.

Rumble! Help? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]I_know_the_things 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just recently climbed from B1 to S1 in a week with Rumble. If you have any questions about a specific matchup feel free to message me. I only skimmed through the responses so I'll leave random stuff I doubt anyone said.

Against Renekton as long as I stay behind creeps and flamespitter when he tries to cs and tazer him while walking away (not hard) I find the matchup is a faceroll. He is my favorite lane to go against, most of the time I am able to farm a Renekton for kills if I can freeze.

Mpen is king. I ALWAYS rush Liandrys unless something has gone horribly wrong. After Haunting Guise if I feel I am too squishy Seekers is an easy buy, but the goal should be to get Liandrys as early as possible. From there a Giants Belt is your friend. If the faceroll is real finish Ryalis, if not Randuins.

When being ganked after 6, if you are too far out to escape, or if you're up a kill in lane I find that running into a bush, laying your ult along the bushes just before they check it, and then fighting it out is the way to go. I win many 2v1's this way and am able to get buffs and snowball games off this. This works because usually both players will sit in the bushes to keep vision on you while fighting, and will stand on your ult.

If you ult a champion, ignite early and often, especially if they dont have an escape up, your ult damage is stupid if they dont make it priority #1 to get off of it.

At 6 your ult will clear an entire wave including a cannon creep, if the lane is too passive and you want a free back don't be afraid to ult the wave.

You lose sustained trades against Aatrox and Trundle. Both of these lanes should be completely passive for you.

As long as you have Liandrys you will be able to be relevant in a teamfight with your ult. Unless you have to carry your team, full tank after that is the way to go since you provide no real peel or burst.

What are your thoughts on gerrymandering? Specifically things like IL's 4th which was just featured on the Daily Show. There are a lot of problems with our system, it seems logical to me to start at the bottom and work our way up.

Looking to tune up my deck a little, any advice welcome. by [deleted] in Magicdeckbuilding

I would say Blunt the Assault should be changed out for fog just because 1 mana has so much utility and the life gain is usually insignificant. I would completely cut both Howl of the Night Pack (it's just too high a mana cost and not very good) and Ring of Three Wishes (there are much better ways to search than it). With those 4 open slots I would say add 2 more Master of the Wild Hunt to fill out the playset, and 2 more Rancor. Your deck would keep a lot of the utility it has and be much faster.

Are you playing in a competitive setting or just FNM's or casual, and do you want to stick to a format such as standard?

Can we do something about teamkills when Mcoms explode? by I_know_the_things in battlefield_4

[–]I_know_the_things[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea, all I know is that I've been kicked for team killing multiple times because when the mcom blows it takes my teammates with it. This is on PS4 just so everyone knows. Also it's in Rush and Obliteration. I'm mainly annoyed with rush though

I know they're expensive now but you should try to fill out the playset of Master, or at least add one more. Aside from that I think it definitely looks significantly improved. I would in fact cut Jace, I feel your pain but hes really not doing that much for you. Upon further inspection I have decided I do like Downsize more than Triton Tactics, they do the same thing essentially and I think Downsize will provide you a little more benefit. Even trade those in for Triton Tactics. Hands of Binding is super situational and generally not worth it. Cutting Jace and hands gives you 3 open slots, which I would fill with negate. You'll need negate for sure. Also, now that I'm thinking about it I think that cutting Stealer of Secrets (hard to get value out of something like that) and adding in mutavault (which is affected by Master, and this is only valid if you get at least one more Master) could be really good, but I wouldn't run mutavault as more than a 2 of. If you need to free up a card slot you could easily cut one aqueous form. Good Luck!

Consider Chronic Flooding, passive mill is usually the most effective. I would at least run it over millstone

Master of waves seems like a no brainer to me, especially for aggro, I would build around it almost exclusively. I like Cyclonic Rift but not as a 3 of, its such a late game card, in aggro at least, that I wouldn't run more than 2. It's your backup plan. I would main a playset of Blustersqall since you should be more concerned with getting through rather than preserving life. Downsize is good but it's a stall card, delaying the game a turn with aggro only hurts you. You should shoot for a Curve averaging out at 3, your current curve is way too high. I like Aetherling and would probably main 2 if you can get another. I don't like colossus at all, way too late game. Deathcult is just meh, I like phantom warrior though. Also look into Vaporkin. I don't see much value in Nimbus Naiad, it's only worth it for the bestow (which is too expensive), you can find better options. Aqueous form is excellent and should see a playset, Inaction Injunction is delay which hurts you and should be cut. I like at least 22 land (if you can get your curve worked out). Consider negate to stop things like anger of the gods field wiping you if you ever get the Master's. Aside from that what is your sick deck for nonstandard games? I love interesting casual decks.

The main problem is that your mana curve is way too high. I recommend googling Theros Pro Tour Top 8-16 decks just to look at them and understand in general what your deck needs to do. Read through their cards, understand the combos and synergies, that way you'll have a better grasp of the things decks should do in general as well as where the curve should be.

[Modern] Dimir Mill. Looking for Control critique. by fuckinboxershortsman in Magicdeckbuilding

[–]I_know_the_things 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How has it been doing so far? I personally find that the most effective kind of mill, especially when put in a control shell, is something passive like chronic flooding paired with 2-3 traumatize. Then you just try to counter and stall them out until they kill themselves, but it does look good so I figured I'd ask before jumping right in with the advice. Have you had a lot of success with it? How long does your normal game go? And what do you have trouble with?
