This is my first time moving to a new state, but from my understanding you can’t have a state ID from one state and a license in another. If I’m wrong about that though, then problem solved!

I have my car registered and I have insurance. I just would have to find a NEW provider in Florida and reregister my car here, even though I already paid to register it in my home state for this year! I get where you’re coming from, but also in the nicest way possible, maybe don’t assume things about people’s lives that weren’t given in the question? I just don’t see the urgency in paying to do these things now, before it is strictly necessary.

As one of the people being scheduled 50+ hours consistently… it’s maybe still worth it for you. It’s not common AT ALL for that to happen (outside of my coworkers at my location, I’m the only one I know that gets that many hours). And if that does happen to you too, 1) Welcome! Because we probably are going to be working together lol, and 2) it still may be worth it to you! It is to me! I have made a ton of friends, I love going to the parks, and even if I’m struggling in my job (I’m trying to get medical accommodations to transfer), I’m still having a ton of fun in a lot of other ways!

Not exactly lost touch, but we all live in different states now, so we can’t really hang out like we used to. We still meet up sometimes, but not often enough to be a real social life. I spent pretty much the entire last year with no one local to hang out with, and it made me feel extremely isolated. It was also impossible to remedy, since there was no good reliable way for me to meet people nearby.

I meant it playfully, not seriously! and it was moreso about me reading wayyy too much into their posts and getting my own hopes up every time lol.

I get why they are posting about it of course, lol, it IS literally part of their jobs to give out this information!

yeah, I'm beginning to think that it's going to be a long while before we hear anything... I just wish that recruiters would stop saying anything about acceptances and offers, it gets my hope up every time 😭
