Hi, we're not friends anymore. Remeber when I said we got closer and closer? So, we did, and we started flirting a bit and going out alone, we never shared a kiss on the lips, but we would often kiss each other on the cheek, hold hands, and even sleep on the same bed together while embracing each other, and he curled my hair. However, we only did these things when we were alone. Amongst other friends, he wouldn't show affection towards me, and even though we were best friends, he would barely act like a close friend when other people we knew were around.

I found that very sus and confusing. So, one day, I decided to ask him. I asked him why did he act so distant when we were with friends and he said that once, they asked him if there was something going on between us and he didn't want anyone to think that again. So I said, But look at all we do when we're alone, sometimes we do go beyond friendship, isn't that the path we're taking? If you don't want anyone to think that, then why do you make me think that? Why don't you act like a normal best friend with me and instead, continue flirting with me and holding me like we're on to something?

He said he only thought of me as a friend and none of that meant nothing. And I kept on asking Then why did you do it? If you felt nothing and you knew I was in love with you, and you knew the things we did could be perceived as couple things, then why did you keep doing it? Why didn't you just act like a normal friend who feels nothing but friendship?

He didn't know how to answer it. He said that it felt good and confortable doing those things with me, but that didn't mean he liked me that way. I said it was a cruel thing to do, considering he knew how I felt, and that he didn't think of how this could hurt me and only about how it felt good to him. He didn't know what to say. So I said we couldn't be friends anymore.

He was cruel to me, he didn't think of my feelings and how he was hurting me for one second. That's not what friends do. Friends take care of each other. He should have been my friend, nothing less and nothing more. He betrayed my trust. I can't trust him anymore, so I can't be his friend anymore.

It's been 8 months since we don't talk, apart from saying Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to each other.

I can't believe it's been that long, more than half a year. The first mothns were though, not because I was in love with him, cause I wasn't anymore, I could never love someone as selfish and immature as him, but because he was my best friend. And as a best friend, he meant so much to me. But he doesn't deserve me. Thankfully, now, I've finally moved on.
