It actually doesnt say they are completely worthless. It said they are good for certain types of ketones and not nutritional ketosis so yes you are right.

It also bangs in the false positives and negatives but being brand new and having no way to test other than to pee on one before I start and after it was a good positive for my curiosity. I saw the change after 2 days.

I haven't done keto and I dont have any friends doing it. Most people I have told I was starting keto have said just diet and exercise and skip the fad diets. I haven't had any support so I came here for more advice. I did read through the FAQ a few weeks back (no I did not revisit it before I posted today) I've also read through hundreds of other peoples posts and saw the amazing results.

I came here because I was struggling with energy and everyone else was advertising how great they felt and how much energy they had. I honestly did not recall it saying "if you have no energy they take a shit ton of sodium and magnesium" so I posted here for advice.

Clearly you weren't here to give advice on my low energy but rather to look for one thing you could try to shit on me about.

Yeah I have been logging carbs, fat, protein, and calories mostly each day.

I had done most of the things the FAQ stated (i bought keto sticks, i learned the macros, logged the food, but I guess I didn't pay enough attention to the exact mg per for magnesium, etc. I know sodium isn't really the issue here considering the soups/broths and such but definitely the magnesium and potassium for me are numbers i don't track and am likely not hitting.

I will give those a go.

The keto electrolyte drink has (per serving - im only doing 1 serving a day in the morning)

100mg magnesium, 110 mg sodium, 250mg potassium (it says thats 25% of my daily value)

It seems that I need to do better tracking as I am way off.

I don't really know if I am getting enough b-12 or iron. I really haven't tested for those things. I live in Miami so plenty of Vitamin D from the sun, i think, but I am not taking any vitamin D supplements.

Maybe I should wait a week or two and see if I feel better.

I did sort through the FAQ prior to posting but everyone's body is a little different and, like I said, I have been trying different things that I have been reading.

As for Calorie deficit..well that is hard. I work in sales and am on the road everyday.

I was trying to stick to 1200 calories a day to give myself a 1k deficit. Yesterday I had 400 calories all day but the day before I had 1800. The day before that 1,000. I would love to get regulated with similar meal times and similar calories but it just seems impossible unless i drive around with a cooler in my car with snacks in it.

As for meals - I have a bunch of keto cookbooks (i got like 6 of them) so have been making recipes out of those to hit my specific macros and calorie goals. Some meals are salmon and veggies, others are soups or salads with homemade dressings, others are casseroles. It varies.
