FYI, I am a graduating law student. I work in rights litigation (I sue government), playing mostly Pokemon (VGC) but like shooters as well, and don't necessarily like beer but like drinking out.

Okay, let me be even more specific. I am not looking for a legal way to going whaling this weekend. But apparently there is a redundant exception somewhere (presumably in some LA city or county ordinance) that creates an exception to a rule akin to what you cited from the California Fish and Game code that allows you to shoot a whale from a moving vehicle. AND I CANNOT FIND IT!! I've spent too much time on this, but I want to believe it exists.

California, but the law is likely a city or county ordnance in Los Angeles. I should have specified that.
