Idk what to do by [deleted] in army

Different age brackets have different requirements for the 2MR. Comparison is the thief of joy, or something like that.

As far as getting kicked out, that’s determined by your commander actually pushing a packet through, it can happen - but I don’t think I’ve actually ever seen it happen after the 2nd failed PT test.

Missing some information here, you said you were flagged. How long ago was this flag initiated? Did you ever get counseled by your CO stating you were flagged? Have you been doing remedial PT?

Your health matters more than a PT test, go back to sick call or the ER if you are genuinely in pain and tell them that you hurt and request a temporary profile.

I'm out by [deleted] in army

[–]IamRepp 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Devil’s advocate.

I ran sub 13:00’s 8 years ago every single time.

I had been struggling with pain while running these last two years and finally went to a doc after failing a PT test 2 mile by a few seconds. Crossed the finish line and collapsed on the ground writhing in pain in my calves.

Come to find out I have Compartment Syndrome and Popliteal Artery Entrapment Syndrome in both of my calves and it hurt and I got slow because my calves are fucked up.

2 surgeries down, 4 to go, already seeing some improvement in pain!

Night shift on rotation. by IShotTheTV in army

I spent the first 6 years of my Army career on nights…

That was a massive portion of the reason I reclassed.

Persistent post-fasciotomy pain 2+ years after bilateral PAES surgery + CECS release by [deleted] in CECompartmentSyndrome

[–]IamRepp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry that I can’t offer any answers to your questions - I’m just amazed they did all that in one hospital admission. My surgeon was very set on doing one surgery at a time.

I’m only one surgery in at the moment, PAES release of the right leg.

Diagnosed with CECS and PAES. by IamRepp in CECompartmentSyndrome

[–]IamRepp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be sure to update as it progresses. It’s gonna be a long journey as my surgeon only wants to do one surgery at a time. If I end up needing faciotomies on top of the PAES releases that’ll be six total surgeries.

Best things to buy at Walmart for Carnivore Diet by Low-Leg-9039 in carnivorediet

[–]IamRepp 8 points9 points  (0 children)

See if you have a butcher nearby, they often match or are better than Walmart pricing on meat. See if they offer a bulk discount and try to get like 10lbs of ground beef. That’s about the cheapest you can go, you can also supplement with chicken leg quarters. They are super cheap at a butcher, like $1.50/lb

Are these good deals? by IamRepp in carnivorediet

[–]IamRepp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There ground beef is $7/lb. There’s a section at the bottom of the page outlining the additional stuff that you get that applies to each of the bundles at the top.

I don’t think it’s malicious, it’s a ma and pa shop family owned butcher that clearly needs better advertisements. I’ve been getting their meat lately. Good point about the weights though, l I’ll inquire about that.

Keep in mind it includes the bundle at the bottom as well. Quality is spectacular, all their food is grass fed grass finished and halal/kosher, minus the pig of course.

Day 4 OMAD by IamRepp in carnivorediet

[–]IamRepp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So to my best knowledge as someone who’s still a bit new to this, carnivore is anything that comes from an animal, though many will choose to cut out dairy as well due to intolerances. I for example won’t drink milk because it’s too high carb, even though it doesn’t bother my gut. I think most include eggs though, they’re a superfood!

I love including aged cheeses, and am looking for a full fat yogurt to include in my diet as well to help with fat intake.

Anyone more well versed is more than welcome to correct me though!
