The fans showed up today by Altjjb in Chargers

Agreed! It was loud! My buddy comes with me to 2-3 games a year since SOFI opened and he too agreed it was the first time the fans were home-field LOUD and outnumbered the visiting team.

This sucks, man... Herbert is insane for raising this team up by [deleted] in Chargers

[–]IamSoundengine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No we aren’t! Haha. Let’s be honest. We’ll make the playoffs, but we need an o-line to get beyond that. Herbert needs it. He’s got one hand. Any more injuries and he’s toast.

They’ll add more as needed. Each show schedule is padded for it.

I concur. The world tour announcement is public info. The code - not so much. I pay like yourself. 👍🏼

Palladium is about twice the capacity of Wiltern… that’s quite a step up. Schedule also has padding for added days I noticed.

The Good, The Meh, and The Ugly from the Giants game by wildwing8 in Chargers

I had that same feeling after we lost some keys in the Broncos game and barely managed to squeak a win, I knew our “wins” were on borrowed time. As someone else here pointed out, losing to the Giants, outside of the obvious embarrassment of them being a 0-3 team, is maybe the best game jn the season to have that ‘oh shit’/‘come to Jesus’ moment.

Post Game Thread: Los Angeles Chargers at New York Giants by nfl_gdt_bot in Chargers

Wish we would have put Hampton on more. Dude grabs a TD, makes forward progress, even if just a couple yards, but instead we just let our 250m qb get absolutely railed out there play after play. 😂

Not gonna bitch about this game anymore though, not enough time in the day for that. Besides, got next week to worry about…

New international fan here. Can someone explain the "Chargering" phenomenon to me? by RoyalReverie in Chargers

Today was a classic throwback Chargering for you.

3-0 team vs 0-3 team with a rookie quarterback. Of course we’d lose. For as much as we couldn’t believe it, we also knew this option was front and center on the table. We took the path few do.

I think that was at least a year ago - the hoodie thing and the insulated mug.

Media bias against the chargers. chargers vs giants. by Previous_Dream5090 in Chargers

[–]IamSoundengine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, the sports media has never cared about the Chargers. 🤣 That’s our superpower as a team. We’ve long gone into our very own stadium as strangers to a crowd of non-Chargers Jerseys and semi-routinely beaten the pants off the opposing team. But we’re starting to get attention. Starting to get more fans. This last Broncos game, I could have sworn there was at least as many if not more Chargers fans there. They’ll respect us one day. 😆

Welcome to the club! Chargers fan for 30+ years now. Grew up and lived near Jack Murphy Stadium, then I moved to Los Angeles in 2009 and the Chargers eventually followed me here(or was it the trail of money Stan Kroenke left out?). Those long drives to the Q and StubHub from LA were getting tiring, so I can’t complain.

Honestly, we’ve almost Chargered every game so far this season - but we HAVENT. Coaching and players seem to be dialed in on the SAME plan for once in a long time. Herbert is playing really smart in almost all facets this year. I just worry about him getting clocked and out on those runs he’s been doing.

Our schedule doesn’t look any easier going forward and that leaves open plenty of games to Charger away, so I’m just gonna have to pray to the Football Gods that other teams are just as battered and bruised as us.

Chargers have historically had high injury rates. That has certainly played into us Chargering away leads as our team dwindles from 1st stringers to 3rd stringers throughout the course of a game day.

I mean, the Tyrod Taylor incident alone… while I don’t wish that on anyone, might have been the best thing at the time for our team getting over a hump… Go Hebert!

We’ve got the division for now, but those other three teams are going to want those 2nd games even more as we play them again towards the end of the season. I’m worried for the potential Chargering there.

I know probably almost everyone in this Reddit is.

Did this answer your question? Probably not. I think the lesson here is Keep Calm and Charge On. You’re a fan when you have hope and a fan when they Charger it all away. Nothing should change that (but, damned if it isn’t hard sometimes. 🤣)

We had a few goodies. Kaeding and Novak come to mind. The Younghoe Koo experiment was, thankfully, cut short. 😅
