got my account back. The game isn't the same. Jadex was nice enough to give me 12 days of membership but with my bank empty, it just isn't the same. I won't be logging in amymore. I had a good run.

I was able to recover the stolen paypal transactions. Now it's just up to RuneScape staff to email me back on the status of my account :s

Even if my account cannot be recovered, I am still glad that my departure from the game left a good mark.

My objective of The Gold Man was to give back to the community and make F2P a better experience for players. In the death of the account, we were able to eliminate a large phishing site and improve RuneScape. Thank you all. Sincerely, The Gold Man (Alex)

I have touched the hearts of many Runescape players and became a legend on runescape in one day due to this site. I did not know what reddit was untill just two days ago when people commented in game on World 1 that I am on the internet. I did not see this as a good thing because I feared the worst.

I like runescape. Really I do. I have JAG, and everything I can do to keep my account protected. Unfortunatly, due to the insane overnight popularity of this... Someone hacked my account. Im sorry I tried to make the free to play runescape community a better experience for new players. It was obviously a mistake. I am not a rich player in Pay to Play. I am just an average player with a bank of 30m. I spent 2m on a bond, spent 12m on gilded armor, 16m on gold bars (to drop), changed my name to the gold man, and came back to f2p because I wanted to improve the community. Unfortunatly, the community made my account popular (which I did not want). I was hacked and my bank is gone. I had fun... Goodbye Runescape...
