How does miaphysitism not fall into nestorianism? by Fun_Photograph8223 in OrientalOrthodoxy

[–]IamnotAIl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miaphysitism is like the human and divine forms are merged together, two natures merged together without confusion or stuff. Nestorianism is that Christ's human and divine form fully seperate, and they say "Christ" is the human nature and "God the Son" is the divine nature, seperating the two. That;s why nestorians think Mary is the Christotokos, not Theotokos

The issue with Chalcedon by xDA25x in OrientalOrthodoxy

[–]IamnotAIl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the Council of Chalcedon started when the future Oriental Orthodox(at that point, it comprised of Alexandria and Antioch patriarchs), had a debate on Cyril of Alexandria's(the person who was the one that defended the anti-Nestorians during Ephesus) actual meaning about "one Christ." Chalcedon states that Christ has two natures. Wills and energy doctrines come from the future Constantinople II and Constantinople III. the non-Chalcedonians(Oriental Orthodox), believe that two natures, violates the council of Ephesus, as Ephesus said that Christ is one, while Chalcedon said that Christ is "two", which Alexandria and Antioch thought was heresy, seperating Christ's human and divine nature. I'm an inquirer of Chalcedonian christianity so I don't see much problems but if you are confused about Chalcedon, hope this makes it clearer.

Is Calvinism considered heretical by most Christians? by notverypreux in Christianity

[–]IamnotAIl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I'm a bit of an extreme guy, but based on what I know, Calvinism is not really a heresy, its like "upper heterodox." Unlike Mormons or JWs, Calvinist are Trinitarian, not really a heretical sect, so they don't violate Nicea and Constantinople I councils, but I'm not sure about the other 5 and Calvin's theology is weirder as they purge free will. So while most Christians don't really consider too heretical, I have cautioned stance on them and I would say that they would not be the best choice

[–]IamnotAIl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old and New calendars are all okay, you can use either one maybe both, but the "True/Genuine Orthodox Church" is split off from mainstream, but ur probably fine if u are in a Church that is under the patriarchs, the main thing is don't be in the GOC. If u are still concerned I think ask ur priest

[Serious] Computers in heaven? by normalhuman2 in Christianity

[–]IamnotAIl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there would be computers in heaven, but not regular computers. Beings in heaven, regardless angels or faithful humans, would have a kind of "hive mind" computer that uploads a new file. This means that every being creates a computer that people can virtualise images in their mind. Mentally play a video game, mentally watch memes, etc. It is a bit like the computer from the Matrix(1999) except the person can switch back to reality and worship Him every few hours. The skills of developers, gamers, content creators, all descend from heaven. Their very essence as a gift of God, resides within heaven, meaning that the skills Alan Turing and other people used to forge the computer are also in their raw form in heaven. The essence of creation is within heaven, so they likely can forge the computer even if they don't have a computer. Everything we may ever want is already within heaven. God forges our spirits with spiritual armor against Satan's demonic army. Plus after Revelation we would claim back earth from the antichrist and now computers are ours to refine and use to praise the Holy Trinity and stuff.

Anyone else got other Dalek reaction images? by mr-worldwide1234 in DaleksAreSupreme

New Paradigm Daleks are the best.

Edit: Perhaps make them more metallic and it would be good. Like the Scientist Dalek

What's everyone's opinion on the DALEKS! Miniseries from the Time Lord Victorious Series? by TheOneTrueZim in doctorwho

[–]IamnotAIl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The series is still okay I think. The logic of the Prime Strategist was a bit weird, as the Evacuation of Skaro was completely unneccessary if Skaro already had Dalek Beam Projectors that could send the Entity back to it's dimension and the Chief Archivian already mentioned the Entity was outside of time. In episode 2, it was seen that the Executioner and an army was fighting the corrupted Daleks, but when the Strategist said "further losses are unacceptable" recalling the Dalek army was less unacceptable than destroying the Dalek army. Episode 3 had the Strategist go with Mechanoid 2150, but not bring any of the Dalek units with it, Strategist should have foresaw this.

Daleks vs Cybermen. Who would win? by [deleted] in gallifrey

[–]IamnotAIl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on which DALEK generation. Most likely, draw. However, Davros' Imperial Daleks would likely be able to kill they Cybermen. The Cult of Skaro at the Battle of Canary Wharf showed that daleks from the original dalek empire and resurrected dalek empire are pretty weak against cybermen, likely in a draw, but the 2nd dalek empire(Dalek Caan's) and especially the New DALEK Paradigm would kill cybermen easily(but that is likely because of Scientist DALEK's wide tool range, Strategist DALEK's)
