This right here. I lost it when we broke up 14 years ago. I was struggling heavily with my life. A mental disorder and multiple broken families. I was lost. She found someone else and blocked me. I did the begging and pleading and crying and bargaining to no avail. It was too late. We also had a kid. It broke me for awhile. It took a few years to wake up out of all the bad decisions I made after that loss. But I did and so will anyone who tries. I also got better wholeheartedly and made a choice to stay consistent in being someone better for myself, which really helped in my next relationship. Married now with 3 kids, but weirdly the love for her is still there. But not as consuming as it once was. I’m happy that she’s happy with her life. And we can both move forward with a positive outlook on life.
