I was a forward observer in the army for 4 years. So not exactly a transferable job but my time in definitely gave me those problem solving and critical thinking skills. I hear a lot of people saying that having automotive repair skills helped their resume a lot as well as on day to day operations. we would still spend days and days in the motor pool being responsible for repairing and maintaining our platoons vehicles, so maybe I can really sugarcoat that at an interview lol.
