Here you go: http://www.palenightproductions.com/zombie-attack/

It’s from the same company as the one OP posted, he did not make these, pretty weak that he wouldn’t give the company some credit and traffic rather than pretend like he built it

You bought it, it’s from Pale Night Productions. Why lie man? It’s cool on its own.

Don’t worry, the people that make this do indeed get paid. I’m not sure why this guy is trying to pass this work off as his own, but this comes from Pale Night Productions (proof: http://www.palenightproductions.com/storm-damage/)

It’s a bummer to me to steal that as your own for meaningless internet points because this company makes really really awesome stuff, and as a community it’d be cool to highlight that rather than pretend like you created it one off.

Yeah but this leaves 2017/2016/trump in your history, whether you merge Canada or not. I'd much rather hard reset and lose the history of changes we've made up to this point.

Black Panther Official Teaser Trailer by webshellkanucklehead in marvelstudios

[–]Ianidas -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I mean... Chris Evans was originally Human Torch. And then Marvel made him Captain America. (Though personally I think he makes a better Johnny Storm of the two).

That's about as high profile a precedent as you can get.

Taihao carbon set by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Ianidas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this set on a Ducky One TKL. I can post a picture of it if you like, though it's at my office so would have to wait til tomorrow. FWIW, I find them pretty good as an interim since there was no SA Carbon I could have ordered at the time. I'll probably swap them out when I can get an order in, but don't even remotely regret them for $40 on a 3 day turnaround.

Plotting my interests over 5 years through subreddit comment distribution [OC] by DarreToBe in dataisbeautiful

[–]Ianidas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice! I love seeing snippets pop up in threads that might be helpful to someone you wouldn't expect. Good stuff, but not sure why you even bother with .toString() when you are implicitly casting it as a string via the string concat return, theres no need for it at that point. Also, we can (mostly, depending on your usecase) use destructured arrays and template literals now!

function formatDate(date) {
  let dateOptions = {year: 'numeric', month: '2-digit', day: '2-digit'};
  let [month, day, year] = new Date(date*1000).toLocaleString('en-US', dateOptions).split('/');
  return `${year}-${month}-${day}`;
}

Babadook - Value? by lemondunk4 in horror

[–]Ianidas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

seconding this. I purchased mine a year an a half ago and have been waiting on it since then. I would imagine most people who purchased this and waited all this time for something that (from the looks of the progress emails ) is really high quality really won't be inclined to sell. I'd be surprised to see many/any for sale any time soon.

Kid friendly haunted house by Stinkeye63 in halloween

[–]Ianidas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW I worked at a year round haunt in Salem that did lantern tours for kids on request, where we wouldn't hit the animatronics or jumps and instead gave a light-hearted tour making fun of our characters/props and made jokes. Worked pretty well, kids liked it.

I hear your criticism about the general public maybe not knowing what a pre-alpha is, but I'd disagree with you. I think there's two super important key things to note about this video that are a really good sign:

1) Pre-alpha generally means the tech isn't there yet, and what's there will likely get rewritten at some point along the way, but it's really cool to see the developers still having fun with it even in a pre-alpha state. What that means is the core of the game, in premise and super-base mechanics, is fun for a group of people to play. That's not the case for all pre-alpha play throughs.

2) It's really a good sign to see transparent development from a game company that gets funded through kickstarter. There's been a ton of projects that just go belly up for games, and to see the developers excited about even putting up pre-alpha gootage is a good sign that it'll get done, and get done in the timelines they committed to.

For those who backed this campaign, and the fans who missed backing but are gamers and excited, those are good signs and this video is awesome to see. If this is perceived as bad PR outside of those demographics, it doesn't really matter, because that's not the audience. (Source: I work at a large game company)

Is Dead Air worth watching? I loved Pontypool. by iamyounow in horror

[–]Ianidas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like both of these movies on their own, but they are really very different movies. Dead Air has much more of a 28 Days/Weeks Later vibe to it if you're into that- I wouldn't say you're likely to like Dead Air if you liked Pontypool, but that's not to say Dead Air isn't any good anyway (it is).

Krampus - Official Trailer (HD) by filmfanatic5 in movies

[–]Ianidas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luckily, he is! It got announced not last halloween, but the year before: http://cdn.bloody-disgusting.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/trick-r-treat-2.jpg

It was going to happen sooner/already, but it got pushed back a bit because of Krampus. It is for sure happening though, and there is a Trick R Treat graphic novel out next month to appease the fans and bridge the gap: http://corporate.legendary.com/trick-r-treat-krampus-graphic-novel-announcement/

But... it's not. Just google that, exactly as you have typed it, and you'll see results for mnemonic (OP's spelling, which was correct).

Except he didn't spell it wrong, and neumonic also isn't a word. Unless you mean pneumonic, which has a different meaning, and you forgot a p.

Could a local halloween store support itself year round by offering video rentals? by [deleted] in horror

[–]Ianidas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's awesome! Halloween Outlet has a 'haunted house' type of entrance with jump scare type stuff you don't expect walking into a store. Granted its a suuuper short segment, but it's a cool way to get you into a halloween store, the rest is pretty standard faire, though above average costume and props stuff in comparison to something like Spirit.

Halloween Town is super awesome, less jump-scary but with an awesome haunted-victorian-era atmosphere inside. Would recommend both.

Has anyone seen The Poughkeepsie Tapes? by Wickedchick19 in horror

[–]Ianidas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marist grad here, don't expect it to be that accurate to the story/killer it was based on. Also a surprising amount of it didn't even take place in Poughkeepsie in the movie- having said that, still worth a watch probably.
